Dr. Dallas Jordan Kingsbury, MD

I hurt my shoulder in the gym, and tore my rotator cuff. I have competed as a powerlifter and in bodybuilding. I was devastated to learn that I had a full thickness tear. Dr. K clearly explained my options, emphasizing that he saw surgery as a last resort (which I very much appreciated). He raised the possibility of pursuing PRP (platelet rich plasma) injections as a treatment. He clearly explained the benefits and thought it would be worth a shot. And it worked! He administered the treatment, and after 8 weeks of rest and rehab, and allowing the injection to heal my shoulder, I was back in the gym. I later went back for a second shot and fully recovered. Just to give you a sense of how well I responded: Prior to the treatment my shoulder ached while I slept, I could not raise my shoulder over my head, and I could not bench press the bar alone without severe pain. Now, after the treatment, I am back to benching 315 pounds without pain. I thought that I was done with… weightlifting, but thanks to Dr. Kingsbury, I'm back in the gym. Thanks!

I saw Dr. Kingsbury over 18 months for 2 different issues. He is good at administering shots and using ultrasound. He then told me to stop coming. He claimed that I was not exercised enough, which was absolutely false. He kept saying I wasn’t getting well bc my PT was bad and insisted I see his PT, which my insurance didn’t cover. I spent $500 out of pocket to see his PT, who showed me the same exercises that my regular PT had.so I was going to PT 4x/week in addition to home exercises. I had radically changed my diet too. Dr. K expected the PT to cure me and was unwilling to help me anymore. A year later, I’m still in pain. I resent doctors like Dr. K. won’t listen to and refuse to help patients who are indeed working hard.

I was referred by my beloved Physiatrist, who left NYU. I went for shots that I’ve been receiving from him for years. I felt Dr Kingsbury’s technique was poor and, despite the shots, am still having some symptoms, which NEVER happened in the past. Also, I developed a secondary problem - he never touched the body part, barely looked at it and simply sent me to physical therapy to have the PT figure it out. When I followed up, he made suggestions that made no sense to me. I then told him about a related issue - his diagnosis ignored my feedback on what the PT said. He referred me for a scan if the secondary problem persisted - instead, I went to another Physiatrist, who correctly diagnosed the issues and gave me exercises to do. I also found his interpersonal skills lacking I won’t return.

I brought my sister to Dr Kingsbury after her physician's at another major NYC hospital no longer knew (so they said) what to do for her. She's in her early 30s and was experiencing numbness, tingling down the right side of her body, which wasn't properly treated right away by her former docs. Dr. Kingsbury immediately prescribed a brace to help her walk more steadily and helped her find a great Physical Therapist. He has been a blessing for her and patient with her long road to recovery so she can get back to being the active young women she was!

I went to see him but without results. I do have scoliosis, 2 tumors in my spine, hernias plus cervical fusion. What he does? No MRI’s and send me to physical therapy? In his eyes I don ‘t have problems in my spine. With years of radiculopathy and treatments. My Regular Dr retired, now I have to look for Another doctor. Waste of time and money in parking. Not recommended

I was a patient of Dallas Kingsbury, M. D. who is a very young and aspiring specialist. His non medical staff responsible for, inter alia, scheduling are grossly incompetent and highly untrustworthy. Making a visit to him a nightmare. I recommend you go to a doctor who has some control over his staff.

I went to see the doctor because I have two problems (Scoliosis and a curve in my neck that is pressing nerves and causing numbness). The less difficult problem (Scoliosis) he sends me for therapy. However, the more serious problem (the curve in my neck) he didn't want talk about. With no X rays or MRI how can he assumes there is no problem. I think he has no experience at all. It was a totally waste of my time and money. Definitely I will see a different doctor.

commitment to excellence in everything. honest, he gives the full picture discusses the hows and whys and what ifs and options giving each its due. He is a great communicator. so far everything is proceeding better that I even hoped. He has my full confidence, and I am a tough nut.
