I wanted to take a moment to share my experience, because I know reviews can really impact how people choose their care team. Kim Perry was absolutely incredible. She was understanding, responsive, and truly went to bat for me. She worked quickly with my insurance and handled pre-authorizations in a way that felt almost impossible. What could have taken months was accomplished in about three weeks, and because of her, I was able to get the surgery I needed without unnecessary delays. I am so grateful for her dedication and follow-through. As for Dr. Boedeker, I had a very positive experience. I’ve seen some comments about bedside manner, but I personally found his directness refreshing. He was honest, clear, and didn’t waste time telling me what I wanted to hear—he told me what I needed to know. In a situation like mine, I valued that. During surgery, things ended up requiring more work than originally anticipated, and he handled it then and there rather than having me go through a… second procedure. That mattered to me. I wasn’t looking for fluff—I wanted accuracy, decisiveness, and results, and that’s exactly what I received. Post-operative care has also been excellent. I received follow-up texts checking on my incision and recovery, and I have multiple in-person follow-up appointments scheduled. That level of continued attention and care has made a big difference in my recovery process. Overall, I felt well taken care of, and I truly appreciate a team that prioritizes efficiency, honesty, and doing what’s right for the patient.

Fix the backbone and no more pain at all. Left hospital in two days!!!

His manner was very short, curt. Walked in, said he could find no reason for my symptoms and didn't have a diagnosis, which was nothing like the Radiologist report from my MRI. Finally agreed to a spinal injection for the pain. Was very disappointed. I've had one previous back surgery and my surgeon was great. $50 co-pay was definitely not worth it. Will not go back.

I had 3 back surgeries with graphs and hardware, I am 72 and the last one was two months ago, He removed the hardware and added some new hardware at a lower level. I would trust Dr. Boedeker as I have done. I still have some pain but it just takes time to recover. Thank you Dr. Boedeker foe helping me.

Dr. Boedeker is patient, kind, and GREAT as a person and surgeon. He operated on me for a SubDural Hematoma. Everything was dandy!!!! Thank you Dr. Boedeker!!!!!!!

Dr. Boedeker rushed me through and cut out the ruptured part of the disk which was about 50% of the disk. Surgery went great and got relief of the nerve pain but ball of foot pain remained 8 weeks after surgery. Went to podiatrist and got 4 steroid injections and inserts for my shoes to move the pressure off the ball of the foot. Will know if that solves the pain in about 6 weeks. He spent the time with me at the beginning and new I was an athlete so he told me how much I could exercies.

I HAD A LEVEL 2 FUSION WITH HARDWARE AN BONE GRAFT AN NERVE DAMAGE. 3 MONTHS LATER RELEASED BACK TO WORK... LIFTING 40 LBS, AN 3 AN A HALF MONTHS AFTER MY SURGERY.. FULL DUTY NO RESTRICTIONS LIFTING 50LBS. CT SCANS JUST DAYS BEFORE SHOW, NON UNION AT FUSION SITES...AN STILL IN SEVERE PAIN AN NO LONGER EMPLOYED BECAUSE THIS SO CALLED DR. SAID I WAS 100 CURED..IN THE PROCESS OF SEEING WHAT CAN LEGALLY BE DONE ABOUT THIS MAN. DIDNT THIS MAN TAKE THE SAME OATH AS OTHER DOCTORS? HE IS BRUDE ,NO COMPASSION OF HIS PATIENTS AN THATS PUTTING IN NICE WORDS.. HE NEEDS A REALITY CHECK FOR SURE.. HE WILL HAVE A LOT TO ANSWER FOR WHEN HE STANDS BEFORE GOD ALMIGHTY.....

Boedeker Performed Lumbar fusion on my back and said I would feel like a new man. I am very athletic. He solved sciatic nerve/drop foot, but created three times the back pain I already had and I had a lot. (enough to want fusion, but I am young and was told to wait as long as I could) Then, within the year from the fusion he took out my hardware (screw and rods) saying the hardware might be the cause of my pain. He said enough time had passed and I was fused. After the 2nd surgery he said he checked the fusion and it was solid so he removed the hardware and cleaned up around the sciatic nerve roots, because I was having a lot of nerve/leg pain as well. The nerve pain improved in one leg pretty well, only slight improvement was experienced in the other. Four months later he told me to stop coming in for pain symptoms(just call me), just passing me off. I sought a second opinion through my general doctor (who was concerned)and other back doctors even with referrels wouldn't see me (too… soon they said...until 9 months later. My new doctor said it sounded like I wasn't fused. X-rays couldn't tell fusion or not; MRI couldn't see it either, yet showed my displacement was worse and had moved to from 66% presurgery to 75% displacement postsurgery. The ctscan finally showed I was NOT fused at all. Explanation: My new doctor "only implied" that the removal of the hardware was premature and the new bone fusion had probably had not enough time to harden. I have since had a third surgery/repeat fusion (1st with new doctor) and he takes me more serious, more cautious on rehab instructions, and is very thorough.Five months later I am still recovering/rehab to ensure I can live a normal life. You are flipping a coin with Boedeker. I had a classic, easy case for this doctor. I did everything by the book to his instructions and have now had to have two extra major surgeries. Incompetent. I pursued no litigation or complaints except this, because I just wanted to be fixed and enjoy my family for years to come, including my newborn.
