Dr Daniel Liu, MD

Daniel Liu, M.D., joined City of Hope® Cancer Center located in Lake County, Illinois, in August 2014. He specializes in all forms of breast reconstruction, including microsurgical tissue transfer. He also offers surgical treatment options for upper- and lower-extremity lymphedema, including vascularized lymph node transfer surgery and lymphaticovenular bypass surgery.Dr. Liu earned a medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2006 with induction to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then completed an internship and residency in plastic surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle.Dr. Liu is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. A dedicated researcher, Dr. Liu has published several studies on various aspects of plastic surgery and serves as a peer reviewer in eminent medical journals. He has presented his work at numerous national and international professional …conferences, and has contributed chapters to textbooks on plastic surgery.As an educator, Dr. Liu has passionately spearheaded the use of social media to promote public education about breast reconstruction and plastic surgery.
