Dr. Daphne Kimberly Moloney, MD

Dr. Moloney used to be a terrific doctor. I knew there was trouble when she started pushing laser skin treatments--What? What does this have to do with gynecology? But the worst has been that she has moved to treating by assistant--you'll be lucky to talk to anyone but the office secretary. And follow-up? what follow-up? If she can't diagnose it quickly and move on to the next patient, well, good luck on your own. She missed a skin issue that turned out to be basal cell carcinoma. My daughter requested help with extremely painful periods. She put her on Yaz, and when my daughter couldn't tolerate it, there was absolutely no follow up and no suggestions as to what else to do, despite my daughter calling to request more help or advice.But the real frosting on the cake was when my daughter discovered a lump in her abdomen. When the CAT scan revealed nothing, Dr. Moloney told us to see our internist. We asked for a referral to an internist. The one she referred us to couldn't see my… daughter for 5 months! We asked for another referral. The secretary told us to go to our health insurance site to find someone. I asked the assistant to have Dr. Moloney call me. It's been a week (I also sent a follow-up fax) and I'm still waiting.Can it be that after 20 years in practice Dr. Moloney only knows one internist?My recommendation: find somebody that's still interested in practicing medicine. Dr. Moloney appears to be far more interested in processing quick health insurance payments. Being nice and chatty is fine, but I'd prefer someone who walks the walk rather than just talks the talk. I wonder how quickly I'll hear from her when I don't pay the bill for this latest "treatment".
