Dr. David Fernando Antezana, MD

My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Antezana for my 4th back surgery. He was most personable, knowledgeable & professional. My surgery went well, my recovery was quick & I am doing much better now. I would highly recommend this Doctor to everyone needing surgery.

He took time to listen and discuss my pain very personable and knowledgeable.

I had a blood clot, then stroke, then brain bleed and he operated on me to relieve the pressure. After 3 months in hospital there are little after effects from my problems. I credit prayers and Dr Antezana.

I have been Dr. Antezana's patient for 14 years. And because I'm a high risk patient because of transverse myelitis, the surgeries that Dr. Antezana has performed on my spine have been successful and allowed me to continue to walk and live independently. I have recommended him to friends and relatives and they have all been extremely satisfied as I have been. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Antezana and his staff are awesome. They truly care about their patients and the best possible outcome.

Horrible bedside manner.

Seeking a high skilled neurosurgeon for a craniotomy? Don't see Dr. Antezana. Dr. Antezana specializes in spinal surgeries and should not be trusted to perform well in cases of GBM or other complicated craniotomies. Not to mention he has the worst bedside manner. When asked for explanations around brain damage post op, Dr. A replied "if you want to know more, there are programs for people like you." This is one Portland Doctor I would not recommend. Seek help elsewhere!

"IT'S A SIMPLE PROCEDURE" you will be in and out of the hospital in 12 hours-this is what this butcher told me at the last meeting before he got ahold of me.Now the facts:In hospital 11 days-Why? after he cut into my spinal cord, referred in records as "nicked" had a spinal fluid drainage tube put in because of fluid drainage, he left for a week to go to a conference. Me?-in so much pain after surgery they couldn't get me into MRI machine to see what he actually had done and for next 8 days so medicated for pain thought I was in an episode of "M*A*S*H*" when meds started wearing off until they shot me up again. When he returned he had to patch spinal cord covering to stop drainage and then redo whole procedure, this was over 11 months ago. Now?-I have virtually no bowel control, can't sit comfortably for more than about 10-15 minutes, can stand for a bit longer before pain goes nuclear, and at last meeting with this arrogant pr___ he wouldn't even acknowledge that he had made any… errors when asked directly about after effects of he expertise. Am currently talking to attnys. to see if I can get this quack into court. Both Hospital and Dr. records (got copies of all associated with surgery) say he screwed up. So now, thanks to this butcher I get to spend 2-3 hours per day attempting to have a bowel movement...and I no longer get any forewarning of anything, i.e. diarrhea cramps, and I get to deal with anal leakage along with the constant pain of feeling constipated all the time. I really wish I could do the same for him as he has done to me. He may have great stats but I don't think he should EVER come close to an operating table or patient again. But if you want to roll the dice you might get lucky. All I know is I went in with 1 problem and came out with 4 or more. Anyone know of a good Malpractice Attorney? Sure wish I could find one. Last thing this ARROGANT so and so said to me, while placing his hand on my shoulder was "GOOD LUCK" and then turned and walked away. So if you have any dealings with him..."GOOD LUCK" because you will need it. I actually wouldn't even go to the group he is part of because from what I have seen of them they are just like him including the office people. A national group in the business not to help people just to make the all mighty buck. Actually the term "Quack" is an insult to all the ducks in the world when used in referring to this south end of a north bound donkey. Of course this is just my personal opinion after being worked on by him...I might be all wrong.....I also might fly to the moon tomorrow on roller skates........But I doubt it.
