Dr. David Chang

I read the reviews below and could not believe they were referring to Dr. Chang! He is the worst Orthopedist, and his staff are also worse. Dr Chang just stared and glared, did not answer questions except for one or 2 vague general words. His male assistant was mean and manipulative. No one, not even the repcetionist, returns phone calls! Dr Chang only offers benign treatments for severe orthopedic problems; very cagey since he is supposed to be a specialist. To this day, I have no clue was to what my test results say as Dr. Chang only interpreted them with 1-2 words. Should be reported to the AMA.

Dr. Chang has all the positive attributes one looks for in a doctor. He is friendly, reassuring, professional, easy to talk with, and has outstanding bedside manners. He explains your medical options clearly, answers all your questions, and never seems rushed. He has an easy, relaxed way about him which helps someone like me who enters a doctor's office with a great deal of anxiety and fear. His demeanor immediately puts you at ease. His office staff, particularly Jennifer, is very friendly, kind, and helpful.

Dr. Chang is an Excellent Doctor...

he takes his time, nice with his patient, great bedside manner, staff are really punctual and friendly.

Dr. Chang performed hip surgery on my father on Christmas Eve. He was very approachable and kind an excellent bedside manner. My father is recovering very well, thanks to Dr. Chang.The great thing was that Dr. Chang was not even on call. I called him because I heard about his reputation. He took time out of his own personal schedule over the holidays to see my dad in the hospital, talk to all the family members, schedule and do the surgery and follow hip after surgery. I am so grateful.

I have had 2 operations by Dr. Chang, and his work is wonderful. Great instructions from day 1 visit till completely healed.Have given his Name & Number to anyone in need. Dr. Chang and His Staff are Wonderful

I have lived in Newport Beach for 40 years and have seen all the doctors in the area. Over the last few years, I have seen medicine change. Doctors don't spend time with their patients and they speed through the appointments. Most of the time Im waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours to see the doctor for 5 minutes and dont have time to ask questions.It is the complete reverse with Dr. Chang. I have seen him for the last 5 years and usually, Im in the waiting room for less than 3 minutes. I spend 30 minutes with Dr. Chang and he answers all my questions. He takes the time to explain everything in terms that I can understand. Even though he is an Orthopedic Surgeon, he does everything he can to treat me without surgery. So far I have been able to avoid surgery. I have been so happy with him. I want to send all of my friends and family to him. I asked my daughter to fly in from Utah, just to see Dr. Chang for a second opinion.

I had a bad accident. I had several fractures. Dr. Chang operated on me and I am back to normal. He and his staff thought of everything and took me through the whole process. I refer my friends and family to Dr. Chang

I've had two surgeries thus far from Doctor Chang, he is very caring about how i was handling things. he was very honest about the condition i was in, and he handled my complicated surgery in such a way that i had a full recovery with no complaints. he helped me through my concerns, calmed my mothers worries, and all around showed me how doctors everywhere should practice. he is an amazing doctor and even better surgeon. bedside manner is better than any other doctor i've had, which has been mor than i can count.
