Dr. David Michael Henzler, MD

I don't usually leave reviews, but after my family's horrific experience, hopefully another family will avoid seeing this man. There are doctors with poor bedside manners, then there is this guy in his own category. He is incredibly rude, crass, lazy and arrogant. We went to see him for a medication evaluation after my Husband's TBI. Henzler went through reading notes, during the appt because he didn't even know why we were there or the seizure history. He went on to mock people who don't know the difference between headaches and migraines... The actual, hands on exam of my husband was just blatant laziness and argumentative with his patient. 3.5 weeks post appointment my husband has a 30 minute seizure after following Henzler's weaning directions. 30 minutes seizure followed by another 90 minutes of more seizures and he ended up intubated and sedated in ICU. Things happen, but considering others reviews of this man, we should have never gone to see him.

He is arrogant and condescending. Was complaining a out his job, which he is being paid to do. Would not consult with him again.

Not sure what the boohooing is about his bedside manner is about. I came to him in Bismarck ND after someone cracked my head with a baseball bat. He was EXTREMELY funny and intelligent. He had me laughing, while we argued about who was President (Nobama at the time-right after the election). He took MAJOR time with me, and got me the PCS diagnosis that headed me in the right direction. Dr. Henzler: it was Trump. Lol...do what you gotta do doctor.

I truly miss Dr. Henzler. He was an excellent doctor. Yes, it took a while to get used to his manner. But if you stick with him you will see how knowledgeable and caring he is. I would return to him in a heartbeat were he to move back here. Now I pay $125 for 1 minute with a pain doctor. And I am not exaggerating! I timed it.

This doctor is the worst I've ever been to. I lasted less than 3 minutes before standing up and walking out. He's rude, ill informed, combative, just generally a jerk. I agree with the other reviews. This guy has a screw loose. he just might have some mental issues. Horrible

Nice new office shared with another provider. Checking in was the first sign of the unprofessionalism. Dr. Henzler's receptionist does not have a seperate check in desk and is in a corner behind a wall at the checkin area for the other provider. She was on the phone with her back to the checkin area for a few minutes and finally realized that I was waiting to check in for Dr. Henzler. She gave me one form to fill out and when I was completed then told me that I needed to fill out multiple other forms, why she didnt just give me all of them to begin with is unknown, especially since she was on the phone the whole entire time and she had to keep putting them on hold to talk to me. Then the actual appointment started with a nurse calling me back and reviewed the notes and discussed the symptoms with me, which had to be repeated multiple times to her. She had a very dry sense of humor and not welcoming at all. She then conducted the first portion of the testing for the EMG that I was sent… to them for. Then Dr. Henzler finally came into the office and completed the final portion of the EMG testing and also had a very dry sense of humor, sarcasm, eye rolling, condescending attitude. At teh conclusion of the testing Dr. Henzler reviewed the results with me and then told me that I did not show "any" signs of the condition that many other doctors have diagnosed me with and I have been treated for with physical therapy multiple times over the last 11 years. Basically said that all the other Dr's didnt know what they were talking about. Funny that I have a copy of an EMG that I had completed about 7-8 years prior and it clearly shows the condition that I am being treated for now. Then most unprofessional part of the entire visit was at the conclusion. Dr. Henzler told his nurse "now its time for the real test". He then stood up and put his arms out to his side and turned around and asked me "how do I look?", I responded that he looked fine with a confused look on my face. He then grabbed my hand and placed it on his beltline on his back. (I have many years of military and law enforcement experience and had already noticed that he was carrying a concealed gun) He said "that is my Smith and Wesson and most people dont even know that I have it". If he wants to carry concealed while in the room with patients is his decision, but dont make it known and advertise it, keep it to yourself. Very unprofessional and I guarantee that I will not be returning to Dr. Henzler ever.

I completely agree with the other posts. If you want someone who cares about your treatment, go to someone besides Dr. Henzler. Strange jokes, sarcasm, etc, and rude receptionist anytime I tried to get any information about my records and even from the first time I booked an appointment. I should have known there was something wrong with this office. Thank you, to everyone else who has posted warnings for this doctor, so others will not waste their time.

The eye rolling,negative assumptions, pompous attitude, comments about faking tests <- ( my personal favorite), and in my opinion, did not perform tests correctly. Well folks this is just one of the many paid henchman in this group of Doctors, primarily , self insured employees/patients suffering from work related injuries. I was not able to see the other Dr. at the closer location, per my request because the insurance company forced me to see this or no one. My exam was not an exam, its a brow beating covered up by hocus pocus test ,that is not reqiured for diagnosis, and has a fail rate 20 % even when done correctly. I am not suprised by Dr. Henzler reviews from other dissapointed patients, they took the words right off my lips. I know it sucks when your legite and injured and hurting and then you get exposed to a thoughtless, ingnorant, predjudice person who is supposed to give you a fair exam/diagnosis. These jerks can ruin your life, if you let them. EXAM WORKS. " dont beat… yourself up, we will do it for you" 1 star just to send the review.

HE IS THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVEN BEEN TO HE IS AN ARRIGANT JERK THAT TALKS DOWN TO YOU. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HIM I WOULD RATHER BE IN PAIN THEN DEAL WITH HIM AGAIN.
