Dr. David Charles Moverman, MD

I brought my young son to see him recently for a problem with his eye. We waited about three hours to see him. When he was finally seen the doctor did not even introduce himself and was one of the rudest doctors I have ever been to. He had no idea what was wrong with his eye and spent not even 10 minutes on his exam. He should not be practicing medicine and we waisted three hours of our time as well as a copayment on this awful experience. Do not go to him for eye issues go to Mass Eye and Ear its worth the drive and they know their stuff way more than him and treat their patients like family. He was bothered with us and I will not recommend him to my worst enemy. He is beyond grouchy!!!

I was experiencing changes in my vision. I had cataract surgery about 3 years ago. Dr Moverman told me that in some cases they get cloudy, and also explained what he could do with laser. I had it done 2 weeks ago, and that same day he did the laser I couldn’t believe how clearly I could see again. I am so thankful for Dr Moverman and the treatment. Would highly recommend him.

An hour and 15 minutes late, no apology. That just behooves me! I admitted I have missed a few nights of eye drops. He says well your eyes will fail 2x times as fast. Does the examination, no conversation or details . Just a cold fish. As he leaves he says, good luck!

This is the worst doctor I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. Cold, dismissive, and completely unhelpful.

I was experiencing some changes in my vision right before the pandemic, but I had no idea the challenges that I would eventually face at that time. When places started opening up, it took me forever to get an appointment for an optometrist and my vision problems were progressing quickly. I got a referral to see Dr. Moverman and by the time I got in to see him, my vision was terrible. I was super anxious in general (I have a lot of anxiety around medical appointments and procedures) and was especially worried about how bad my vision was. I was having trouble seeing even in the best lighting. By the time I had my first of 2 surgeries, I could see very little. Dr Moverman earned my trust with his kind nature and I felt like I was in the hands of a doctor who really knew what he was doing. Due to a number of factors, including having Covid myself, it took a few months for me to get the second surgery. I'm so grateful with Dr. Moverman's kindness, patience, and expertise! My vision is… literally perfect now.

I was nervous to have my cataract surgery as I rely on my eyesight for my job as a musician. Dr. Moverman assured me if all went as planned, my eyesight would be restored to “like it was in elementary school”. The procedure went just as expected and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Even in the midst of the pandemic, Dr. Moverman and the entire staff at Boston University Eye Associates made the experience very straightforward and quite frankly, easy to undergo.

This winter I had developed severe cataracts and had no idea what was going on, thinking I would be blind for the rest of my life. Dr. David Moverman reassured me that the condition was temporary and he could give me vision better than before. He removed my stained lenses and now I see normal again. Dr. Moverman was a total pro!

Dr. David Moverman and the staff of medical professionals at Boston Umiversity Eye Associates gave me back the gift of unobstructed sight. I suffered from cataracts in both eyes so severe that my vision was like seeing through wax paper. I now have perfect vision and only need a low power 2.00 strength over the counter corrective lenses for reading. I recommend Dr. Moverman in the highest manner also because of his gentle manner and his professional demeanor for anyone that needs vision related care..

Dr mover man on average is over 2 hours late - this is ridiculous - he needs to learn how to schedule appointments

Waited for two hours with my mother after being chastised by office staff for not getting her to the doctor's office sooner. Was in for an exam due to hallucinations that were not dementia related. We were completely dismissed by Dr. Moverman. He was very busy answering his son about his medical school essay. this happened as we were in the consultation room with him. He spent five minutes of our exam time on his phone texting. Dr. Moverman did not do a complete exam on my mother's eyes although her eyes had been dialated. The doctor told us to see a neurologist and intimated that her visions were dementia related. While this may be in the cards for us down the road, my mother is very cogent and is able to give names, dates, and her bank account balance. She is aware that she is seeing things that don't exist and is not buying in to the visions. She is legally blind and is losing vision daily. We suggested Charles Bonnet Syndrome and were summarily dismissed by Dr.… Moverman. He then suggested that we might consider eyelash surgery with him. Don't think so! We've been at this office for years and while we often have wait times of a few hours we have never been treated so summarily and quickly. We felt that we were just a nuisance in his daily routine. Not cool to do to an 86 year old woman who is struggling to maintain her independence and was looking for .
