Dr. David J Weiss, MD

This doctor with his arrogant and egotistical attitude when dealing with family of elderly patients warrants complaints to AMA. He shows no respect to the elderly patients who want to get rehab, acts as it they bother him and all have dementia. Quick to prescribe meds with out looking at underlying or adverse reactions that might harm patients. He should not be allowed near older patients because he treats them as less than human. I have never seen a less compassionate doctor than him with the worse bedside manner. If you attempt to disagree with him , he is ready to throw your relative out on the street ASAP. If you have a dog that you care about you probably wouldn't want this doctor near it either. They AMA should investigate his idea of patient care!

I finally got the help I need with my heel pain. YAH!!

I brought my teenager in with an injury after twisting her ankle badly during field hockey practice. It was her third right ankle sprain so we were worried about her continuing to play. Dr. Weiss helped her understand what she could do at home and with therapy to strengthen her ankle and foot and she got better quickly and was cleared to play after 2 weeks. I then made an appointment to see Dr Weiss myself for assorted heel and other pains and have been going to therapy, got shoe orthotics, and started stretching per doctor's orders and seeing great results!

Dr. Weiss has the bedside manner of a box of rocks. First appointment... after admonishing me for wearing pants he didn't like... and then telling me... and I quote "I had ridiculously flat feet" he focused on the fact I had sleep apnea and was overweight completely ignoring the diagnosis of episodic back pain due to spondolysthesis I'd had since I was in my early 20's. All my problems were obviously my sleep apnea, weight... and my feet. He gave me a prescription for physical therapy... and a xerox checklist of things to do. No pain medication. No suggestions for pain reduction besides TOPICAL OTC preparations and NSAIDS... which are ridiculous for the nerve pain I was experiencing. My physical therapist had a terrible time contacting him during my therapy... and then when he finally did he was upset with my PT because he wasn't doing exactly what he wanted. I felt I got "one size fits all" care from him... and was ignored as soon as I went to PT. Several calls to the office… with questions went unanswered. Even a FAX to the office with questions went unanswered. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

I have had chronic back and hip problems for over 10 years, and Dr. Weiss is the only doc I've been to who actually treated the symptoms as opposed to the MRI (to use his words!) and the only one from whom I've gotten positive results. He takes the time to explain the issues, why the treatment he is prescribing will work, and what you need to do to ensure it works. I can't say enough positive things about him and his approach.

Dr Weiss has helped me and my son bounce back from sports injuries we have incurred over the past few years...WHen we listen to his diagnosis and treatment plan and follow it, we get better quickly. We learned that the first time after not doing the plan fully and not getting fully better...once we got on board, we made great strides and fully recovered and were back to playing our sports!

He knows his stuff and does not pull any punches. If you want a doctor to sugar coat your issues find a different doctor. I have multiple disc problems and walk pain free without surgery because of him.
