Dr. Debbie Alexander

I was really hopeful when I started seeing Dr. Debbie Alexander. She came off very sweet and helpful. After a few months, I saw some red flags- her professionalism is questionable and can come off passive aggressive when asking for help or questions not during a session. She's not great at following up and needs to be reminded. I had opened up to her so much about my life to find myself- worse mentally. After some feedback from others who also sought therapy mentioned these red flags. If you want to vent- shes great as she gives a non-biased view (like all therapists should). It feels like your talking to your mom or aunt when you're talking to her which made it really easy for me to get started with her and open up. I ended up talking to another therapist due to scheduling and found a lot more help- personally and the help I needed to get out of my rut. Actionable goals and milestones. Dr.Alexander is a bit unorganized and doesn't set plans or goals to get past therapy. When Dr.… Alexander doesn't want to see you as her client anymore- you will know. Her demeanor changes.... like she doesn't even care at all and like youre bothering her. I hope I had a one-off experience but its very hurtful to have opened up/trust to a therapist and get such a negative outcome. I got notion she isn't a very experienced therapist and would meet with a few other therapists before seeing her.
