Dr. Diego Velarde, MD

Dr. Velarde is very personable and cares about his patients. He takes the time to explain what is to be expected of his patients in the bariatric program. He wants all his patients to succeed. Never met a more caring doctor!

my experience with DC Velarde was great he was great to explain pre operation detail, and after the same way and he return is cal that is great, now will use is service for a hernia and I truss him he will fix me up thank to the Doctor and to the office staff being professional;

Dr Velarde is a skilled surgeon with certain things. His bed side manner was amazing at first and dwindled the more issues i had. The last one left me ignored with serious complications. His office staff is his biggest down fall. Relaying proper information and severity of problems is non existent. His responseson to issues borderline making fun of you. After a while it seems they're all about money for big procedures rather than making office visits or follow up calls. I'm truly heartbroken I was pushed to change doctors due to the care I was receiving.

This doctor is amazing. I have worked along side him in the hospital and he is one of the most attentive doctors towards patients. I myself would see him if I needed any type of surgery and I can only say that about 1 other doctor I know.
