I had a very bad mitral valve and needed surgical intervention very quickly before turning into heart failure. Fortunately I found Dr. Glower through online patient support site. He saved my life! My heart was in much worse shape than we thought he did prolonged surgery to repair the valve because that's what he promised me. I recovered so fast and got back to work 4 weeks later and play tennis again 8 weeks later. He was not only a excellent surgeon but also a great person. He was alway friendly, compassionate and professional. He was almost OCD with his work which is great news for his patients I might say. I saw him in the hospital every day even on Sunday. I am also a doctor and I admire his work ethics. I am doing very well 5 years post surgery and after working all day I am about to play a tennis match tonight. Thank you so much Dr. Glower!!!

Dr. Glower saved my life; going beyond dedication. My open heart surgery was scheduled for between 3 & 3.5 hours, but during surgery, it was discovered I had a second valve requiring repair. Dr. Glower didn't stop after the predicated time; he continued on for 7.5 hours, to avoid my needing a second surgery at a later date. He operated far into the night & yet returned early the following morning to check on me, even apologizing for the "overtime"! (He's very humble, too!) Numerous Duke Hospital staff members stated that should they require heart surgery, they'd want Dr. Glower to perform it. Without Dr. Glower, I would not be writing this review. Dr. Glower have saved my life! I had a very severe mitral valve prolapse that local surgeons wanted to replace it. fortunately I found Dr. Glower through online patient support site. Not only he is very talented, experience surgeon, he is also a very sincere and caring person. After my surgery I went back to work full time 4 weeks later and went back play my beloved tennis 8 weeks later. I am not on any medications and really enjoying my life. I vetted this MD as I needed 2 of my 4 valves repaired/replaced. He is all the things people say. His concern for the patient is overwhelming. All the staff remark that if you have a valve problem, he's the "go to man." In short, love this Doctor. Highly recommend.

Dr. Glower is my new hero. Just came home from Duke where he was able to repair my prolapsed (both leaflets) and torn mitral valve using minimally invasive surgery. It was not an easy repair but he did it beautifully. Very grateful for this gentle, talented man.

Dr Glower performed open heart valve repair on me at Duke several months ago. His combination of skill, knowledge, bedside manner and caring are, in my experience, quite rare in Doctors, especially Surgeons. He truly goes the extra mile, and seemed to be in the hospital, looking in on patients at all hours. Being in the medical field myself, I did wonder if I was getting "special" treatment, but ALL his patients (from all over the country), and ALL the staff felt the same as I did. I can recommend him with highest marks.
