With this office it is impossible to get ANY help with prescription medication. The receptionists are extremely rude and heartless. They will make you wait for 25 minutes to answer phone calls and months for medications that you are running out. Search for a different headache clinic if you need to be taken care off

I have been seeing Dr. Mauskop for ten years for chronic migraine syndrome. He is extremely responsive and professional, and is always willing to listen. His front office staff is also very efficient. I am a very satisfied patient.

Helpful office staff from making appointment, greeting you and the sign out process. Efficient and they even look up at you when you walk in! Unlike many doc staffs... Dr. Mauskop, first, is on top of the absolute latest and exudes confidence. If you happen to go because you have an urgent spell of migraines and still have it, he will keep you all day, try to end the current one through various shots or techniques etc. You stay til he breaks the existing headache. Then comes the longer term planning. He tries to figure what may work best but wants to see you asap on a follow up if it's not working, then he zips you back in fast. He just wants results and will wrack his brain to put an end to your agony. A week, month, more: he won't give up. If you see him in a "head crisis" he will also email you he night after your visit to see if you are holding up. And returns all emails. This is a well-studied, following-through, concerned doctor. Other doctors in other fields could learn from… him.

Dr. Mauskop is positive, caring and to the point in his approach. Despite the fact that I live in Europe he has proved to be available at very short notice by email and has in this way been a great support for me. I look forward to my periodic visits to his office in New York where he forms the basis of my treatment and I can in all honesty say that he has succeeded in helping me to deal with my migraine problems. What I have not been able to find in the Netherlands I have found in New York and I am sincerely gratefull to Dr. Mauskop for his continuing support.

If you should have migraines, and have the luck of funding the New York Headache Center online or hearing about Dr. Mauskop, just go directly there. I made the mistake (unknowingly) of going to countless doctors before finding Dr. Mauskop. No one knew exactly what was going on (ENTs, neurologists, ophthalmologists, even another headache specialist in NYC). Migraines are still such uncharted territory, but Dr. Mauskop will assuage your worry about any symptom, since he seems to have seen it all. I had pressure status migraines that came with vertigo, and I was miserable for 9 months. The minute I saw Dr. Mauskop, he put me on a prophylactic, as well as other supplements, and told me healthy habits I needed to have in my life. There is no cure for migraines, but as anyone knows who has had one, it is one of the most helpless and terrible feeling. And Dr. Mauskop was the one person who has made them manageable, and brought my life back to normal. Dr. Mauskop also always calls or emails… you back, and even returns calls on weekends if there is an emergency. He believes in longstanding relationships, and is really there for you in every way. Again, if you are unfortunately a migraneur, you are doing yourself a serious disservice to not be treated by the NY Headache Center.

Dr. Mauskop is like no other doctor I've ever used. I refer to him as "The God of all Headache Doctors" and can honestly say he changed my life since I found him. He is always accessible through his office, his email and I've even gotten him on his cell phone on a holiday w/e. He is the most headache knowledgeable, professional and excellent doctor I know and I regularly recommend him.

I have traveled to see Dr. Mauskop from out of state for many years. His office staff has been consistently professional in helping accomodate scheduling challenges. Waiting time is generally short, absent occasional and unavoidable patient issues. I have suffered from chronic headaches, as well as migraines, since the mid 1990s. It seems the solution is a combination of art and science.
