It’s all about the money. On my first appt I paid them $160. Since I thought it was going thru my vision insurance, I knew I had fees that would be due. But once I found out that he was an MD I knew my insurances would pay the all of the bill, since on a different appt the charge me 358. So I went out to my car called my insurance and I should not of paid anything so I went back in they talk to my insurance and they void that payment. I said I want the 160 back now. The office manage had to call me on that one and she said they would send back when it got paid. I informed her the should not have collected in the first place. It has been over 2 months, in April it will be 3 months, and still no refund and the same excuse. Appears to me something is funny when it comes to the money. I even mention this to the Dr after my 2 surgery, he said everyone has a co payment and that they had state of the art computers. Which I informed he no he does not, that when his staff called the second time… and was informed I do not pay anything they were shocked.

Utter perfection by a skilled professional withan effective, knowledgeable helpful staff. Expect NO blather, just seamless excellence by everyone. Am completely satisfied with results and recommend Dr Lenser & staff for diagnosis, treatment & surgery. Dr Lenser is a deft skilled surgeon who earned my respect, confidence & appreciation. Cataract exam, diagnosis surgery & followup has been perfect.

Dr. Lenser is grouchy and impatient. His staff are rude and unfriendly. I have only had one eye's cataract removed and now that eye is crossed-it has Hypertropia. Don't use him!

The office staff is rude; the billing department continued to charge for services my insurance company paid, in spite of multiple attempts by my insurance company to intercede and confirm that the bill had been paid. When I was having a cataract removed, Brian Lenser gossiped pejoratively with the staff about another female ophthalmologist in Modesto—incredibly unprofessional! I know patients who have seen the female ophthalmologist and found all aspects of their experience positive, unlike the negative experience at the mercy of an uncaring staff, incompetent billing department, and Brian Lenser’s gossiping.

He paid very close attention. His feedback was articulate, sensitive and very helpful. Staff is fantastic. It was a very good experience.

This doctors parking lot is one entire lot but unknown to me it is divided were if anyone parks on dr lenser side you will get towed to the tune of $300 dollars with road runner tow company sadly the office staff saw me walk away from my instead of asking me to move my vehicle they towed it... In my opinion mean spirited people...

I have used Dr Lenser twice in two years for cataract surgery. I was happy with the results of the first surgery but the office staff is completely Disfunctional. They were given my new phone number at least 3 times. I also updated my primary care physician and my billing information. When they made a pre surgical appointment with my primary, they made it with my old doctor. I noticed the error and called their office to correct it. The changes were made and I gave them my cell number in case they needed to get in touch with me. I showed up for my surgery this morning and the time had changed but the surgery center couldn't get in touch with me because Dr Lensers office had given them my old land line number which had been disconnected. I just tried to call and re-schedule my surgery and I was put on hold twice. The first time for 6 minutes and the second time for 8 minutes. I had a lot of trouble with the first surgery too. They did not foreword my lab results to the surgery center… so the surgery was delayed untill the results could be found. We also had problems in the first surgery with them as they kept charging me the copay and then having to refund it.

Doctor is in high demand so had to wait several months for an appointment. Worth the wait--excellent all around.

Dr. Lenser seems to be a nice person but just does not take the time to discuss your case. I realize that this (cataract surgery) is routine for him but it is not for me. Probably was in exam room 5 to 8 minutes and then out the door .

I was completely ignored by that girl at the front desk. She is very rude and terse. I stood there for a very long time. When I first walked in she was looking at her cell phone. Sheila the other front desk girl is very sweet. I will never go back due to the rudeness of this girl. I will tell everyone I know to avoid going to this place.
