Dr. David Alan Beard, MD

I have been receiving shots in my knees by Dr. Beard every 6 months for 1 1/2 years. He was very honest with me at the beginning and said this wouldn't be a permanent fix. I appreciated his honesty. So far it is helping. I'll take it. Dr. Beard is always willing to answer any questions I have.

On time with appt. But was hoping I would get something for my pain in my knee that I had for over 8weeks. But he said it just takes time and gave me some exercises to do. I would have liked an injection to help with the pain while my knee heals.

Dr. Beard has wonderful bedside manner & is great at explaining what he sees & what the options are & why. I had rotator cuff repair done & I’m so glad I found him. His staff is very helpful, especially Alicia his nurse.

Dr. Beard performed emergency surgery on my son after a high school football game 11 years ago. He had to insert hardware into his broken leg just below the kneecap and told us he may need it removed later due to the necessary placement. My son went on to play 4 years of college baseball, is still extremely athletic and has never needed it removed. I trusted Dr. Beard with my total knee replacement 10 days ago and I am doing amazing. I now regret not having it done sooner. He is so professional and in my mind, works miracles. My new knee feels and works perfect. I am extremely impressed!

My mother got surgery on her knee from Dr Beard. He put in a mans kneecap. It was large, it hurt, he told her she needed to lose weight. After 2-3 years of pain, she got a second opinion, she also had her knee re-done. And her other knee done as well as her hip because she had walked with the wrong kneecap for so long it damaged her further. She still suffers and the scar where his surgery was done is huge compared to the person who corrected his mistakes.

Dr Grey is an excellent doctor but his bedside manners are terribly Offensive

Dr. Beard is VERY knowledgeable about arthritic knee ailments. Treatment has progressed through a clearly articulated, logical progression based on how my knee is responding to each step. Pain is MUCH less now (shot), but I know current steps won't heal me, just significantly reduce pain until we can get the whole picture from MRI. I have confidence that whatever is needed to restore full knee function without pain is within Dr. Beard's capabilities. Made it to age 71...with his skill, I'm sure I'll make it much further!!

My physical theropist was amazed at how fast I recovered and how much less pain I experienced than most patients. She had noticed this with other patient of his also.

We couldn't have been happier with the care and expertise of Dr. David Beard!
