Dr. David Hans Hauge, MD

The doctor was not helpful with my father. My father was basically passed off to a nurse practitioner after one seeing the doctor once. The staff was awful. They were rude and just DID NOT CARE!!!

I saw dr gauge in 2016. He agreed I needed a fusion. Said that would take care of my pain. Well it didnt. I still have the same pain I had before surgery and my pain has worsen. Since it won’t allow me to give No Stars I had to put 1 star. I went to see this doctor for my neck, & without doing any tests or anything he said I think it’s your shoulder. Ummmm, nooooo!!! My MRI is right here, it’s my neck. Without even reading the report & tossing it aside, he says he thinks it’s my shoulder and get it checked out, then come back and see me. NO! I won’t be back! Unprofessional, rude, and the pure lack of interest in a patients care is unacceptable. I went for a 2nd opinion and it actually was my neck, nothing to do with my shoulder. If he had taken the time to actually give a sh!t about my problem, he probably could have figured it out...then again maybe not! All I know is that if he was my only choice, I would rather suffer in pain and wait for paralysis to set in before I would see him again!

I seen him one time, for my neck. Without doing any tests he said he thought it was my shoulder...went for another opinion and indeed it was my neck where the problem was. He was inconsiderate, unprofessional, and if he was my only choice, I would rather suffer thru the pain and wait for paralysis to set in!! Never again!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hauge. He has been beyond helpful in my particular case. Dr. Hauge identified an issue with my hardware and fixed it. It did not fix all my issues but it did help with a stabbing sensation in my hip. Dr. Hauge has done everything possible to help me. I cant thank him or his staff enough.

I was very hesitant to use Dr. Hauge initially. I had read several negative reviews and was fearful that Dr. Hauge would simply ignore my complaints and send me down the road. I was happily mistaken. Dr. Hauge has been nothing but helpful. He found out what issues I am still having and ordered diagnostic tests. He is very friendly and seems to genuinely care about his patients. Due to Dr. Hauge's diagnostic tests, he has been able to find out the issue and we are in the process of having it addressed. Dr. Hauge has been nothing but kind and professional. I recommend him for anyone that is in pain and seeking answers.

Dr. Hauge treated my ill father, who was in an immense amount of pain, with contempt because my father tried to commit suicide because of the pain. He spoke to him like he was an ignorant child and basically did nothing to help my father with his pain.

For several years i had a terrible pain on the left side of my jaw I went to dentists and doctors and had acupuncture. Nothing worked and I went to Dr. Hauge and had Gamma Knife surgery for TMJ to the pinched nerve. After the surgery i still had some pain but he told me it would take several months to stop the pain so he gave me some Carbamazepine ,and sure enough after about a month the pain stopped completely and i do not need to take the pills. Also i did not get any numbness to the area. Great experience and a great doctor.

22 years ago my husband was operated on by his partner Robert Finelli When Finelli retired, he told my husband that his partners would continue to see him (something went wrong with his surgery and he was not able to return to work) He has been back several times and saw other partners in the group. He also wrote in my husband's file that his injury was related to his work, but in a letter to Cigna he wrote it was because of "Degenerative Disc Disease" Those three words knocked my husband out of a self pay insurance policy of 3000,000.00. Dr. Hague refused to see him (my husband has never seen Hague). He gave the excuse that my husband saw another Neuro doctor when he was in UT hospital. my husband does not remember this but if it did happen, the doctor who saw him was called by the "doctor" who had my husband's case. It would have been impossible for him to see my husband since Hague does not have privileges at UT hospital! The next excuse was they did not have my husband's… records anymore. When I stated I had them, his nurse did not say anything. Today when I called back (October 20, 2017) I was given no excuse, just a flat out NO. The part of a doctor's oath is "do no harm" to the patient. Hague's refusal HAS harmed my husband. Per Finelli's own notes my husband would need a hospital bed to sleep in for the rest of his life. He has a Hill - rom bed. The mattress and the blower and needs a replacement mattress Now he needs a new bed. Cost: 29,000.00). The replacement cost for the mattress alone is 7,000.00 b/c it has sensors attached to it so the whole part has to be replaced. Wkman's Comp is refusing to pay for the mattress even though they paid for the current one (22,000.00). the only way my husband can see one of the doctors in this group is by referral from Wkman's comp. b/c he initially went to the group as a referral (their rules). Because Hague refused to see my husband has seen other doctors in his group, has forced my husband to sleep on a piece of Concrete. That is the last thing a person with 3 neck surgeries who chokes if he cannot sleep at a certain angle needs! .Since Hague refused to see my husband, Wkman's comp has chosen 3 doctors - at least 100 miles away for my husband to see. It is impossible for him to travel that far b/c our vehicles were totaled during a rainstorm when 3 trees fell on our vehicles and totaled them. We are looking for a new vehicle but cannot find one that fits our parameters. My suggestion for purple who are on Wkman's Comp is to look very closely at this group as your Neuro doctors. If they will only see you to collect their initial money, I would suggest you look elsewhere. The only way you can see them is if Wkman's Comp "allows" you to go. In my opinion, the reason my husband was not seen is b/c this office is on the preferred list for DOE contractor's in this area and they do not want to lose that business. I would advise any one who chooses this or any other group to ALWAYS ask for copies of your records.

He is very qualified and thorough, plus able to explain things clearly. He has a great sense of humor.
