Dr. Howard Kapp Is the best surgeon in the whole world! He replaced my both knees and left hip. No more problems!!! Now when I'm healthy trying go back to play hockey...but nobody hired me, because I'm almost 70 years old.... Strange.

I have had two successful surgeries with Dr. Kapp. He is a wonderful, caring, professional doctor. it is obvious he loves and takes pride in his work. I would recommend Dr. Kapp very highly to anyone who needs surgery. You won't be sorry! P.S. I had surgery on Friday and he visited me on Saturday and Sunday in the hospital to see how I was doing - I will never forget that!

Dr. Kapp ripps off insurance companies which we all pay for, is rude and couldn't care less about you after he performs surgery. Don'y expect anything from him on follow up visits. Big mistake going to him.

I was first referred to Dr. Kapp in 2004 when I had an ankle problem. He quickly told me "I do knees and hips: and referred me to an outstanding ankle doctor. Several years later my left knee was swollen and very painful. Again, I was referred to him. A month later I had a total knee replacement with an offset incision. Excellent recovery and no problems since. It's been my experience in talking with other knee replacement patients that most of the problems are caused because people keep putting off the surgery instead of having it done as soon as they get a diagnosis of no cartilage and bone on bone. They have shots, and keep hoping it will get better. It won't. By the time they finally have surgery, the outcome will not be as good as it would had they not waited. Is that the doctor's fault? No, it's the patient's. Then a few years later I fell and broke my femur just below the ball. I insisted on having Dr.Kapp do the surgery when I was in the ER. The next day he… inserted three screws. Again, excellenet recovery. Yes, he can be brusk doesn't always have the best "bedisde manner", but I am more concerned with the surgical outcomes than I am with chit-chat with a doctor. I highly recommend this ortho surgeom if you need a knee or hip surgery. Don't blame him for your bad outcome if you put it off for years. I susect you would have a bad outcome no matter the surgeon you used.

Dr. Howard Kapp did a reconstruction hip surgery and a month after I told him my hip was clicking in & out. He told me to be patient, it will be fine. A month later again, I dislocated my hip. He put me in a hip brace for 3 months. I should have had the brace when i told him the first time. He is very arrogant and talks down to patients. I know 3 other Kapp patients with same opinion. Kapp, listen to your patients and pay attention & clean up your act!

I was experiencing some pain in both my 76 year old knees. While I was still able to walk and play golf, my condition was getting worse each year. Dr. Kapp's x-ray showed bone-on-bone conditions in both knees and was surprised I was not in more pain. He suggested replacement now as a more permanent solution to temporizing alternatives. I researched these alternatives and agreed with Dr. Kapp's analysis. I was a little surprised when he suggested I get both knees replaced at the same time. I was concerned that rehabilitation would be quite long and painful without having at least one good leg to facilitate the process. Yet, I trusted his judgment. The surgery went smoothly without complications. It was maybe four weeks from the date of my first phone call to Dr. Kapp to the surgery date. I was in the hospital three days leaving with a walker. Ten days later the walker was gone. Ten days after that I was on the golf course. I had originally thought it might be 3-6 months… before I could do that. While I understand my recovery was probably "top 10%", I did nothing unusual in my rehab other than the minimum required by my therapists. While I don't mind activity, I dislike doing exercises. So. through no real efforts of my own, I had an extremely successful double replacement. Thanks, Dr. Kapp.

Surgery did not go well. After a year and doing all the excercises daily experiencing swelling, stiffness - alsolutely no empathy or help from the guy. Would not recommend. Find someone else - do yourself a favor.

It may be best to get a second opinion or go to another doctor.

This guy is a closer . If you enjoy the car buying experience this guy is for you . After he closes the sale and has your money be prepared for some rude , cold , after care . Pay close attention to the disparity in treatment you receive in after care versus the treatment you receive leading up to you hiring him for your orthopedic procedure .
