Dr. Ignacio Marcos Carrillo-Nunez, MD

I am a Certified Fraud Specialist and have never experienced a more incompetent office than the office of Dr Carillo-Nunez. I have spent over 50 hours trying to correct a screw up over a year ago. Dr. Nunez personally promised he would fix the screw up, but still over a year later has done absolutely nothing. If a doctor does not even care about his reputation to not waste hours of patients time after their office screws up, its best to stay away from a doctor who could care less.

Both visits took over an hour to be seen. Has no personality seems distant. Office is old and shared with another doctor. Waiting room is very small. Never coming back here.

I am completely baffled by this doctor and office. Are they even in business anymore? I was referred by my insurance after an ER visit, in extreme pain. I have tried calling the office numbers which are constantly either "after business hours" or else a busy signal, literally all day long. Posted hours in FV are M, T, F 9-5. Call all day long during business hours, busy signal. Called the phone number for his other location which says "call dropped" every time I call it. I had others try calling it, too. FV location goes to answering service at 3:30 or 4pm and they take a message for the staff and I never receive a return phone call. They basically say they have no idea how to get in touch with them; they are just the answering service. Called FV Hospital where he is supposedly on staff, and they also say they only have the same phone number that rings busy all the time. Very frustrating. I am awaiting a long process to get referred to an out of network doctor while in… severe pain.

My son suffers from a seizure disorder. My son had his first visit with Dr. Nunez today at UC San Diego Health. There was no wait in the office. He was seen right away. Dr. Nunez asked for his complete medical history. He listened to everything I had to say and he asked numerous questions regarding my sons health and he also answered all of my questions. He did not rush us out of there. The office staff was helpful also.

I went to the Temecula location to see a neurologist after minor findings in several MRI's. My condition is not serious and I did not expect much, but I wanted to meet with a professional who could talk to me about the condition and explain why or why not I should be concerned. He walked in and sat down, he looked at his computer while he mumbled his name, no eye contact, or even looking in my direction for that matter.. From the start he seemed like he did not want to be there. He suggested I do an MRI with contrast. I told him I did and then he finally reviewed the notes and saw that I was correct. He basically said your condition doesn't mean anything. He is the neurologist so he has the knowledge of why it does not mean anything yet he would not discuss the topic with me. He completely downplayed any hint of concern I had. He brought up unrelated issues that he saw in my notes (sensitive past health issues) as if he was trying to shift the focus of the meeting or take a jab at… me. I just wanted to be treated like a human and have a person to person conversation and learn from the EXPERT. Instead I got a doctor who made me feel bad and like I was wasting his time. He should work in a lab, NOT WITH PATIENTS.

Went to see Dr. Nunez for headaches. He really listened to me and spent a lot of time with me

Yes there was a slight wait time but know when it's your turn he will be all ears. He really listens and clearly explains his recommendations. There were 5 people in the office and each understood there disease better and were hopeful when they left. I left there fully trusting his experience and he keeps his eye on the latest research on multiple sclerosis. Wonderful to find a specialist that cares about you and doesn't rush the visit. A million times over ....he is worth the wait. Staff is A+ too.

Late to all appointments. Hard to understand, is not a specialist in MS.

Physician mostly stood in the corner - perhaps to avoid physical contact with me or my husband. He held the results of the EEG saying he'd never seen so many beta waves but not explaining what that meant.

Dr. Carrillo-Nunez was one of the most professional, caring, knowledgeable doctors I have experienced in years. He took over 30 minutes talking with my mom and myself about her dementia and the exam information. He was empathetic and wonderfully caring. A true gem in today's medical industry.
