Dr. Jeffrey Ross Blitstein, MD

Dr. Blitstein is an BAD DOCTOR. He wrote off my complaints and ignored my pleas for help for months. He told me that my symptoms were in my head and suggested I see a psychiatrist. WELP it turned out I had STAGE 2 OVARIAN CANCER. He never called to apologize and he and his staff treated me like garbage. When I would call and BEG for help because of excruciating pain, they said I was exaggerating and making it up. Thank GOD I found a REAL doctor within a few months who diagnosed me immediately ... literally touched me for 2 min and figured it out. I complained to the medical board but they could not care less about patient health or safety, they are only out to cover the butts of their doctors who pay dues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN!

Dr lies about time about prescribing wrong Mexican.. than tells no one I need Pai medication till the next day . Said he told my friend... Dr is a liar

My husband has been sick for 3 weeks with a UTI causing him extreme pain, blood in his urine, loss of appetite, couldn’t get out of bed, and was out of work for 3 weeks. Dr Blitsteins office refused to move up his appointment scheduled two weeks in the future when he is having ABNORMAL signs. An untreated infection can cause sepsis which can be fatal!!!! Thankfully he went to a different ER (the one Blitstein told him to go to only gave him IV antibiotics and discharged him) . Now 3 days later and feeling worse, can’t get the doctor on the phone or an appointment, my husband HAS TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE!!!! Fortunately now he is receiving proper care by a GOOD UROLOGIST who is part of Garden State Urology; highly recommended by my nurse friend!!! In addition, Dr Blitstein is very unprofessional. I saw him several years ago too. I remember him telling me to call if I had a problem but not to call in the middle of the night like one of his patients did. And he proceeded to… tell me about what inappropriate question that person asked. I said nothing mainly because I was shocked that he told me this. So if you go to him.... beware that he will talk about you to his other patients!!!! That’s if he doesn’t screw up your health first!

My husband went for a vasectomy consult and was told he would need to be given conscious sedation and airway assistance in a surgery center. He is a healthy young man and this procedure is typically performed outpatient with local anesthesia only, so I naturally had some concerns that these measures were excessive. When I asked Dr. Blitstein why this was necessary, he snapped that he is very experienced, this is how he does it, and to get a second opinion if we didn’t like it. This is exactly what we did, and my husband had the vasectomy in the other urologist’s office with local anesthesia and no issues whatsoever. It is really worrisome that Dr. Blitstein not only routinely uses this much anesthesia (which carries plenty of risks on its own) for vasectomies, but becomes impatient and defensive when a further explanation is requested.

Dr. Jeffrey Blitstein performed a nephrectomy on my husband's right kidney with its cancerous mass. He also removed much of the area surrounding the kidney to be sure he got it all. The surgery went perfectly. Recovery was faster than expected because of Dr. Blitstein's great work and my husband's determination. Before the surgery, Dr. Blitstein spent a lot of time with us walking us through every possible scenario and answering all of our questions. If you need a nephrectomy, this is 100% the guy to see.

I met Dr. Blitstein about a year ago with urinary tract issues. He has helped me immensely since then and my symptoms are nearly gone. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking care from a real professional who demonstrates mature judgement, empathy for his patients and top-notch technical skills.

Thorough, super nice guy, very direct and practical. Would highly recommend him to anybody.
