Dr. John Edward Mullen, MD

Spoke on the phone briefly. This dr saw any and all of my technical questions as impertinent and audacious. Bad energy, would not want this person working on me in any way. I have seen many very high level surgeons and they have all had no problem answering technical questions.

After have two very successful hip replacements I would give 6 Stars if I could. Dr. Mullen and his staff consistently showed the utmost compassion and concern every step of the way. Every aspect was throughly explained upfront and and throughout the recovery process. I recommend him 100% Micheal D

Dr. Mullen is the only orthopedist who has not kept me waiting a minimum of an hour for him. I once waited 2 hours in this practice when it was only in Danbury and seemed to be forgotten. Dr. Mullen is prompt, on target with his comments, actually reviews the chart and knows what he is talking about. It is very rare to meet an orthopedist with a nice personality and good bedside manner. He is a good surgeon and is also very pleasant each visit.

Dr. John Mullen is a genius!! I am an 81-year-old woman who has had two hip replacements within four months. He did a terrific job! I wish I could give him 10 stars. Dr. Mullen and his staff are the best!! In addition to having a good sense of humor, Dr. Mullen has very good bedside manners. Wise, compassionate, skilled surgeon

Dr. Mullen missed an easy diagnosis and orderered physical therapy which did not improve anything. If there is no reason to do surgery--he can miss something very simple. This was the case with me and, had he diagnosed correctly, I could have been better 6 months ago. Had to get a second appointment all while suffering with the problem.

After reviewing comments about other doctors I had been referred to I read about Dr. John E. Mullen. The reviews led to a consultation. Three weeks later I had a new knee. Everything went as planned. The procedure took place at the CT Ortho surgical center on White Street in Danbury and several hours later I was back home. Dr. Mullen's team include his assistant, Erin, and Steven Saunders, PA. The three of them work extremely well together and I could not be happier with my decision to go with them. Rehab at the Ortho CT rehab facility in Danbury has also gone very well. Later this year I'll be back to have my other knee done.
