Horrible person. Avoid at all costs

Dr. D'emecourt: I appreciate you, sir. This medical professional goes above and beyond and demonstrates kindness, compassion, and caring. I've experienced sitting pain for nearly 30 years, and this doctor is the only one who recognized through his thorough evaluation that I had an adductor and proximal hamstring tendinopathy. He issued numerous tests on me, including bloodwork, Low back, and pelvis MRIs, X-ray, and neurological examinations. Ultimately, he decided to treat me with a series of regenerative extracorporeal shock wave therapy treatments. If you have tried every medical option and are still in chronic pain, or if no one can give you a diagnosis, I suggest you book an appointment with Dr. D'emecourt. He is compassionate, courteous, and, most importantly, nonjudgmental. He collaborates with a network of physicians and consistently receives their highest praise. His coworkers appreciate him, and his staff showed me the same regard and respect he did. I have nothing but… positive things to say about this person. Dr. D took the time to make a long-term strategy till I feel better. My pain has not fully subsided, but Dr. D has a plan. Despite how much I would like Dr. D to be accessible, I must support this excellent physician, even if it means waiting a few extra weeks to see him. I want to thank his team Cory, Tom, Maureen, and Alyse, for their outstanding support.

Not super impressed; long wait time to see this Dr. Often scrambling with the papers to figure out who it was in front of him. Last appt. was virtual, & I fell off the books with him. Held on Zoom for a one hour time frame & was only able to talk to him via telephone as he was "zooming" in & out highway lanes, apologizing about it, trying to figure out who he was on the phone with. Who administratively supports him, is unfriendly, unresponsive, & reason enough also not to return. Next Doctor up on deck...in person please!

He didn't diagnose what I learned nearly 3 years later, bedridden with debilitating pain, was definitive evidence of need for Total Hip Replacement. When I showed up, on a cane, and he took an x-ray, it was obvious how significantly worse my condition had become but all he offered was a listing of injections.Three other specialists subsequently verified that it was far too late and even deleterious had I opted for injection & am now, after losing another year, plus, due to CoVid restrictions, awaiting bilateral THR's. The first should and could have been done at least 2 years ago.Shockingly irresponsible non-diagnosis. I was shown the notes from 2017, and realized he had only read the first sentence to me of what was a longer narrative analysis by radiologist that revealed the deterioration present 3.5 years ago.

MY husband myself and two friends are all patients of Dr D. His kindness ,caring,expertise are outstanding. We are all well and pain free thanks to his great care and innovative treatments

trying to contact the office or schedule an appointment is a nightmare and not worth it

It's been several years since I was a patient of Dr. D'Hemecourt but felt I needed to share my experience in the event others too can be spared from major hip surgery. I was in need of surgery on both hips for retroversion and had I went through with it my life would never have gone back to normal. It would require rods down my femurs and years of physical therapy to only maybe be pain free. Dr. D'Hemecourt was extremely patient with me and performed multiple intra-muscular and an intra-articular injection on both hips and after 3 injections over the course of a year I am pain free and will not need surgery until probably hip replacements in my 40's or 50's (I'm in my late 20's). I do need to stretch and keep the hip moving to avoid flare ups but they are nothing like they were. When I first went to Dr. D'Hemecourt I was unable to walk more than 50 ft and now I am beginning to run again. The point is - don't rush to the knife with hip issues. There are plenty of drs willing to make a… quick buck and you will be left with long term consequences and the hip joint will never be the same. Sometimes you can't avoid surgery but try everything to avoid it. Dr. D'Hemecourt was one of 6 hip specialists I consulted and worked with on my journey to rehab my hips and avoid surgery. Yes, the waits can be long but there's no one in the entire city that does what he does and has the specialized experience he has. Like the previous poster said, he has stayed late to squeeze an injection in for me when I was in a great deal of pain before my wedding.

Dr. d'Hemecourt is THE best, and he's worth the wait! I came to Sports Med several years ago after having issues with a previous ortho doc, and Dr. Micheli (my new surgeon) and Dr. d'Hemecourt have been fantastic. Dr. d'Hemecourt has given me several injections, and each time, he's completely explained what he's doing and why; where he's injecting me and why; and what possible consequences may be. He's super patient and he literally answers any and all questions you have - he even stayed until almost 8pm one night to give me a PRP injection even though he was having trouble finding a vein (I have crazy small veins, so that's not uncommon). Most other docs would have sent me on my way and tried another time, but Dr. d'Hemecourt was determined to help me feel better. He's one of the nicest guys I know, and I'm so grateful for my wonderful team over at Sports Med. Thanks to Dr. d'Hemecourt & Dr. Micheli, I feel so amazing! These guys are SO worth it!!!

Great Doctor, worth the wait!!

I would only suggest this doctor if you have endless hours to spend waiting to even be seen. I spent two hours in the waiting room. The he rushed through my procedure, which made me very uncomfortable
