This dr brown is a sub par dr and a unpleasant arrogant individual to boot. Do yourself a huge favor and find a good dr. Run from dr richard brown and del mar orthopedics. It is a place for bad drs like richard brown, and unbalanced ,office workers. This is not the right place to get good medical care for your orthopedic issues.

Dr Richard Brown is exceptional! 23 years ago he treated me for severe broken bones wrist injury which healed beautifully and yesterday I came to him for severe tendinitis pain in both hands! He has awesome bedside manner and was as friendly, attentive & thorough as he was years ago! I am so happy he hasn't retired! :) His staff was great especially Cindy! While she is blunt and to the point...underneath her initial business-like persona she is caring, efficient and very helpful! 23 years later Dr Brown is still giving a fantastic patient experience! I highly recommend him!

I had a good experience with my 15 min hand surgery wby Dr Brown.

I have seen Dr Brown for about 4 years and for 3 separate hand injuries. He has performed 2 surgeries on me and I can attest to his surgery skills and excellent bedside manner. I am in the medical profession myself and Dr Brown is highly regarded as one of the best hand surgeons in Southern California by physicians and OR staff. He sees his patients quickly and diagnoses problems efficiently and correctly. He has exceptional bedside manner and is very caring. He has treated my wrist and hand injuries with great success and excellent outcomes. His surgical approaches are up to date and he is talented with minimally invasive techniques which allow you to recover much faster with less pain. I can't say enough good things. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a hand or wrist injury.

I had excellent care with Dr. Brown for my carpal tunnel release. No problems. Office runs smoothly, I almost never have to wait for him. He's caring, direct, and never spoke down to me. I'd certainly go back to him for any hand problems.

Dr. Brown operated on my 84-year-old dad. Outstanding medical results after hip fracture, incredible bedside manners with patient and all family members at emergency room, hospital stay and every office visit. Excellent ratings, would recommend him to everyone.
