Dr. Scott Jay Ratner, MD

Dr Ratner and his staff have always been wonderful to me The office is clean. His staff has always been courteous and helped me with any of my concerns. Dr Ratner has always listen to me and I trust him with my life and with the life of my family He has saved the life of my brother and helped me with my mother and aunt whenever I needed it I have never had a problem getting into his office When I call with a medical concern, they bring me in I would highly recommend Dr. Scott Ratner

Was a patient for 15 years. I have MVP and I have 2 siblings that have had valve repair due to leaky Mitral valves. I made an appointment with Dr Ratner because of severe palpitations and expressed that I had concerns because of the family history. Dr Ratner told me I was neurotic. He berated me and treated me terribly. I wondered how I could ever return to the office if I couldn't be honest with my Doctor about my health concerns. He did not order an EKG or echo cardiagram. I asked him if he thought it was the medication he recently prescribed. I had to suggest he take a blood test. Turns out my pottasium was low. I guess potassium is a cure for neurosis. After 2 days of a supplement I felt fine. While in the office I experienced him speaking to other patients in the same manner. I decided to see another Cardiologist for my yearly checkup. To date he has not sent records to this new Doctor, or to me. The office has deleted my medical records from the patient portal. The staff… is great, Regina is an absolute angel. He is horrible. I know he never had a great bedside matter, but I knew he was a good doctor but this I can't get passed.

He has a staff member who is arrogant, impatient, and unable to be courteous to the patient. The doctor's contact is good but the staff you have to talk with, at least one of them, is not pleasant and is disrespectful. I would not recommend the office but the doctor is good.

My father saw Dr. Ratner, he put him on too high a dose of atenol for his irregular heartbeat which landed my dad in mercy hospital. He was never apologetic and his office staff was absolutely unprofessional and treats elderly people as though they are stupid. We found another cardiologist in Rockville Centre who is wonderful.

Dr. Ratner and staff were wonderful. Dr. Ratner identified my condition and recommended medicine to alleviate my pain. I have a second follow-up visit soon and would recommend this office to everyone.

This office is run like a zoo. The girls that run the office are poor examples of how a doctors office should be run. I refused to go back........ Horrible is the single best word to describe my experience in that office. Oh, the office is dirty...... AVOID

Dr. Ratner takes care of my dad. We ended up being his patient after an emergency pacemaker insertion. He speaks to my dad with respect and always makes him feel comfortable. He always calls you back when you call him. He is thorough and really listens. He also is always available to me when I have a question about my dad. You couldnt ask for a better doctor. We love him..
