I visited Dr. Chandela about 4 months into an excruciating cervical disc herniation (with pain shooting down my arm). I was actively working to AVOID surgery, and Dr. Chandela said that if all non-invasive approaches fail, he would be there for me. After another 3 months of trying everything, I scheduled an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. It's been a little over a month since my procedure and my pain is GONE and I'm sleeping through the night (which was a real problem leading up to surgery). Dr. Chandela and his team are top notch, and I would strongly recommend him. (Also, I spoke to a number of physicians that I know who all pointed me in his direction.) Neurosurgery of any type is a frightening prospect, so let me ease your mind and say that if you choose Dr. Chandela as your surgeon, you're in good hands.

Dr. Chandela spend almost an hour discussing the MRI of my lower spine and the treatments that could be done and the possible outcomes. His explanations were precise and in language that we understood. The surgical alternatives were mine to make, he offered advise but no pressure for surgery. I chose the surgery I wanted and Dr. Chandela agreed with my decision. He performed the surgery and I have no regrets as the outcome is working well.

I was always wary and dismissive whenever the word "surgery" came up. I dealt with my debilitating pain for about two whole years. The pain disrupted everything in my life. I went through all kinds of treatments, pain management, etc. Until I found Dr. Chandela who operated on me and "fixed" my pain. He is very understanding, intelligent, and gets straight to the point. He and his team are an amazing unit and I appreciate all that they do. I can't recommend them enough.

Dr. Chandela is absolutely AMAZING. He is so smart, kind, genuine, and caring. He showed sincere concern and care for me & my health. He went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of, and to thoughtfully explain the science of my condition & his recommendations. He thoroughly answered all of my questions, taking extra time to make sure all of my questions were answered, and went above and beyond to provide the best possible care. Madeline Burie (his PA) is also wonderful. She is a fantastic listener and made sure I was taken care of; she is patient, helpful, and understanding. Madeline also promptly responded to me and provided urgent documentation right before a long holiday weekend despite being busy with patients - I could not be more impressed with the care of Dr. Chandela and his staff. Also, the office is beautiful. Ruffa who took my vitals was so genuine and kind, as well. I wholeheartedly recommend them without reservation - everyone deserves providers and care like… this.
