I recently had LASIK surgery with Dr. Wexler, and I’m incredibly happy with how everything went. Dr. Wexler, a highly skilled and professional surgeon with many years of experience, worked his magic performing the surgery after thoroughly answering all my questions and addressing every concern I had. The surgery itself was painless, with only minimal discomfort, and looking back, I wish I had done it years ago instead of waiting so long. A special thank you to Leo, who conducted the pre-surgery testing and provided invaluable support throughout the entire process. He was also present during the procedure, assisting Dr. Wexler with the technical aspects and offering calming reassurance that made the experience much less stressful. I had my LASIK consultation with Dr. Polk on November 11, 2024. He was efficient and made sure to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction. I scheduled my surgery with Jared for November 19, 2024. Jared was personable, VERY thorough, and informative! Dr. Wexler performed both LASIK on both eyes with the help of Mary and David. They were calm, professional, and walked (and talked!) me through each step/stage of this very quick and painless procedure. I have had pretty severe myopia (-6.00) since I was quite young. When I stood up from the table after the procedure, I could immediately see better than I have since I was 9 years old. Everyone on staff explained the timeline following the surgery regarding pain level, symptoms, and what to expect--they have it down to an EXACT science. After an hour and a half drive home, and a 45 minute nap, I woke up with ZERO irritation, ZERO pain, and really no symptoms to speak of. Euneka in the front office helped me schedule out all of my… post-op follow-up appointments (up through 4 weeks). She was extremely patient, kind, and approachable. Shout out to you, girl. The first face you see sets the tone for your entire experience and you. are. IT! I saw both Dr. Polk and Dr. Wexler within the next 5 days for my first follow-ups. I was healing as expected and was in and out of the appointments in less than 5 minutes! Overall, a personally life-changing procedure. Would definitely recommend Dr. Wexler and his team for all of your LASIK needs. THANK YOU!

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Polk and Dr. Walker! Everything was explained thoroughly at my consult and again pre-op! During the procedure Dr. Wexler explained everything as it was happening so you knew what was going on. The whole staff at Washington university was extremely friendly.

What happened to be accidental cut on my eye from prolonged contact wear turned to be a corneal ulcer that took over 10 visits to the ophthalmologist to heal successfully. WashU ensures a great recovery. 7 months after that painful self inflicted corneal abrasion, Dr. Smith in the Fellows Program operated on the scarred eye, and the other eye via PRK due to my unique situation. The procedure was quick and effective, as I can see 20 20 now! What a miracle and happy ending thanks to the cornea specialists at WashU! 10 out of 10 recommend Wexler, Polk, Smith. I did a free consultation on 7/18 and then had my lasik surgery on 7/31, so the entire process was quick! The consultation process with Dr. Polk was very thorough, which is what I wanted. I had my surgery yesterday with Dr. Wexler and the entire pre and post-op experience has been great. Prior to the surgery Dr. Wexler made sure to explain in detail what to expect during the surgery and even talked through it as I was undergoing lasik. The surgery itself was only a few minutes and they sent me home with all my instructions and medication drops needed- yay for no pharmacy pick up! Dr. Wexler did my first post-op check up this morning, which went well. Overall I am very satisfied with the WashU lasik team and would recommend to anyone who is considering!

Had a great experience at WashU Lasik, even though I didn't qualify for LASIK and had to opt for PRK instead. Dr. Wexler, Dr. Polk, and Jared Helton were fantastic from start to finish—friendly and helpful during consultations, scheduling, visits, and post-op appointments. Even when I had a question after hours, they took the time to call me back. Unlike other places, I never felt rushed or pressured here. I felt confident in their hands throughout the entire process. Plus, their prices are reasonable compared to some competitors. Appreciated the convenience of getting everything I needed on-site, including post-op eyedrops.

I had the best experience. It was quick and Dr Wexler explained everything as it happened. I wish I would have done this forever ago.
