Dr. Steven Martin Erlanger, MD

Dr. Earlanger is an exceptional human being! Can't say enough good things about how thorough and caring. he was. We need more physicians like him!

good doctor. getting an appointment is not easy -- I've had to call back two more times to try to get an appt when I was in pain. hardly any wait at the Glen Cove office. bring a book if you are going to Great Neck ... a book, snacks, your insulin, whatever. you will be in that waiting room a long time.

No bedside manor. Does not explain anything. His reports are not written correctly. Would never let this man operate on me. He really needs to retire. he cant remember anything . SCARY !!

Unprofessional. Slow, uncourteous, and uninformative. Actual waiting time was 90minutes. Thats only the first visit. Still have to deal with this guy. I'm sure it'll be just as bad with the coming appointments. I can't help but to think this guy is a racist with the way he treats people. Maybe he's just a senile senior citizen thinking about retirement. This guy is by far the worst ever. He deserves no star rating.

For everybody who has other things to do than waiting in a doctor' s office I suggest that you look for another doctor. It seems so normal for the doctor and his staff to let people wait for 2 hours that they don't even apologize. I don't know why they think their time is so much more valuable than mine. I just find it disrespectful.

I go to get a pain in my wrist checked out. I wait for over about 45 min in the waiting room and another 45 min in the office for him to come see me. He sends me for an MRI and later leaves me a voice mail with the results, and says I may need an anti-inflamatory and occupational therapy, and says to call his receptionist. I call the receptionist and she makes me a follow up appointment. I wait another 45 min in the waiting room, and a half hour in the office. When the doctor sees me, tells me its mild and needs rest, no treatment. I then have to pay the co-pay for an office visit, where HE DIDN"T EVEN LOOK AT OR TOUCH MY WRIST and he could have told me to rest it on the phone. I try to dispute it, but the receptionist says she can't speak with the doctor, because he is taking appointments, and I need to pay the copay and can't wait to speak with him. When I say I will not pay and dispute it, she threatens to send me to collections, and charge me a $25 re-bill if I don't pay… now w/o speaking to the doctor. I paid, and said Ill take it up with my insurance company. Later at night, I get a call that they won't write off my co-pay. Currently trying to dispute with my insurance company.

I have never been treated so unprofessionally and discourteously by anybody in my entire life as I was when I attempted to schedule an appointment. This woman, who would not even give me her name, hung up on me 2x. I was calling for a simple MRI reading and was denied! I cannot rate the Dr but I have heard nothing but positive feedback, I assume that once you pass the perils of dealing with his unprofessional receptionist.
