Dr. Thomas Edward Lafferty, MD

First I had to wait 3 months for my first appointment, finally the day comes, nurse guy was awesome and professional, on the other hand I’m very Dissapointed with Dr. Lafferty, after I told him all my symptoms and concerns, he never did an evaluation on me just sit down on computer and started asking questions and one of the question he keeps asking over and over again total of 7 times same exact question after I keep answering no I don’t know if he is getting some early Alzheimer’s or was having a bad day because he was acting like he wasn’t focusing properly. Then he was offering prescriptions for every single of my concerns and I say to Him I rather to have labs to diagnose before getting into meds because I’m always concern about side effects etc he says fine and gave me a labs order and an appointment for 6 months. I inmediately went to get my labs done and having the lapcorp app I got the benefit to see results as soon as the are ready so as soon as a got the results I found out… many of my labs are abnormal and did my research and it could be from bad medical issues so I was expecting the office to call me right away to discuss my results and after almost 6 weeks, I still haven’t recieved any phone call. I called the office and explained that to receptionist and she says oh well no news means good news I was like really after I told her I had abnormal results so she transferred me to Mr. Joshua extension and voice mail says to leave a message that he will contact you at the end of the day and nothing, called again same day in the afternoon and same thing happened. Today I called again and again got the voice mail and still haven’t received a call back. For me is very important to have a good dr., patient relationship specially is is going to be a dr you have to visit often and I don’t think I can have that with this Dr. I have work with Dr and also my brother and sister in law are doctors as well and honestly Dr. Lafferty doesn’t have what it takes in my opinion and based on my own experience. I wish I saw so many bad reviews before I waist my time and money. I will definitely find the right rheumatologist for me one that really care for the patient.

Outstanding and Thorough Physician

staff has not a clue what is going on. dr lafferty not only mis diagnosed me and over medicated me as i ended up in the hospital. not even a follow up call to ask how or what happened. than because of incompetent office staff ,cancelled my next appointment. dr lafferty hasnt got a clue on how to treat patients in pain. better off going to pain management doctor. hey doc rub your fingers up and down my body... bloop bloop bloop bloop, can u feel that??

I have seen Dr. Lafferty for ,as I can remember at least 18 or 19 yrs ,he has done a terrific job in helping me ,he always has time to talk to me and make sure I am taking the correct medications and talks to me about new meds and things to help me ,he is never in a hurry ,when he sees me,always ask how my wife and family are ,and knows some of my family by name which is different from some other doctors, he realy tries to help you

Dr. Lafferty has help me more than any other Dr.

Dr. Lafferty is knowledgeable, but he and I need to build a relationship.

His examinations are generic, questions are promoted by computer program, same old thing each visit. He appears very anxious.

Fantastic Rheumatologist so far. Caring and actualy takes time with me without rushing. First doctor that actually listens to my concerns.

My biggest concern in moving to The Villages was finding just the right rheumatologist. In my 12 year experience with 1 doctor, I truly felt she was indispensable to me. After researching and visiting doctors that I felt would be best suited for my rheumatoid arthritis, I was terribly disappointed. ...that was until I was highly recommended to Dr. Lafferty. He is everything that my former doctor was....plus more! I so appreciate the time, concern and professionalism he exemplified to allow me the confidence in knowing that he is always available to help me with whatever setback comes my way. Thank you, Dr. Lafferty, for allowing me to go forth with confidence in knowing I am in the right hands.

Prompt, courteous and Professional. After three months my symptons have greatly improved! Happy to have found a doctor who listens, cares, and is well informed.
