Dr Thomas Knutson, orthopedics at Palomar Hospital. The best knee replacement surgeon in the world. Yes, professional, precise, extremely knowledgable, kind, expert surgeon, fantastic staff. I could only walk about 400ft/day. I got both knees done. So glad i did both at the time . Within 10 weeks after bilateral knee surgery, I was able to walk 2-3 miles, run in the pool, conservatively ride my road bike and more. It is not just the surgery that counts, it is the efficacy and practical change in the patient's life that matters. I am returning to the very active life I lead 7 years ago. I have 2 new members in my family the left knee is Pat and the right one is Ella. I was reticent (actually chicken) to get the surgery done. Be courageous- Just get it done! You won't regret it.

Excellent Doctor and Care I had a double knee replacement. Have recovered well, scars are minimal and recovery was fast. Dr. Knutson gave me the information I needed to make the decision and continued throughout treatment.

For 8 1/2 years I took injections in my knee to relieve pain. In 2014 I decided I had enough and began looking for a surgeon to replace my knee. In my quest, by chance, I heard good things of Dr. Knutson. Upon contacting his office I was told that he did not do Work Comp work but that they would check with the doctor to see if he would consider my case. A short time later, I was informed that the doctor would see me. The doctor performed a complete knee replacement in 2014 and as a result, the only time I even think of my knee now, is the appreciation I have for the doctors kind consideration and excellent services. The operation for me, was a breeze; the recovery was easy and short. I cannot express the gratitude I have for the expert, kind and caring work of Dr. Knutson. There is non better!

I had a torn meniscus which Dr. Knutson repaired. He was very thorough in explaining my options and was very patient with my many questions and concerns. After 10 weeks I am absolutely pain free and back to a strong exercise routine. I'm very happy I chose Dr. Knutson.

I had both hips done 6 weeks apart. Absolutely no pain on either one. No pain meds needed either. Dr Knutson and his staff were super to work with . I had had a partial knee replacement and then a full TKR on my lf knee. Needed my rt knee done - I had a very easy recovery, didn't even need PT and little to no pain using just Celebrex and an ice machine. Better flexibility that with prior surgeries. VERY professional. He was outstanding! The hospital staff all said he was THE best.
