Dr. Todd Christopher Moen, MD

Dr. Moen has helped me in my shoulder for two years. He is very friendly and caring, explaining in detail so that I understand the dynamics of my shoulder pain. There was not a long wait time and I appreciate the help from everyone in the office.

Great physician. His “bedside manor” is exceptional . Plus, is extremely knowledgeable. Never feel rushed. Wish other doctors should learn from the Carrell Clinic.

Dr Moen is an awesome doctor!! I went to him after 5 rotator cuff surgeries on both shoulders. 3 different doctors. One in Athens, Presby Dallas, and Tyler. The last one done in Tyler I was told there was nothing else that could be done. I couldn’t even raise my arm and horrible pain. I was referred to Dr Moen by my spine surgeon Dr Banta. Best decision ever!!! Not only did he say he could fix me but got me in quickly. I’ve been good until Nov and I fell and broke my shoulder/arm too and reinjured my left shoulder also!! Dr Moen did a reverse shoulder replacement and fixed my broken arm. 4 months later I was well enough to do my left one. I now have 2 reverse shoulder replacements. I am doing great and highly recommend Dr. Todd Moen and Jennifer his coordinator is awesome!! His PA Kristin is great. Can’t say enough good things!!! Thank you Dr Moen!!!

Dr Moen is an incredible surgeon. The only complaint is having to wait 3 1/2 hours before surgery.

Very impressed by Dr. Moen. Explained my problem and the best way to treat it. There was no rush. He had time to talk to me and answer all my questions.

Dr Moen is an excellent doctor

I went to Dr Moen with very severe shoulder injuries and had no use of my right arm. He quickly assessed the issues and developed a thorough plan from surgery through PT/rehab. After surgery I had no pain. After following the complete rehab program I am back to 100%. Full range of motion, strength and all normal activities. I full confidence in Dr Moen and highly recommend him!

Dr Moen seemed very in tune with the seriousness of my impending shoulder replacement as I have been through 5 previous shoulder surgeries on the same shoulder without success. I also contracted MRSA in the 3rd surgery and spent 3 months in a nursing home due to the MRSA and two surgeries just to clean out my shoulder. His parting words were I plan for this to be your final surgery on that shoulder.

About eight years ago I had torn rotator repair surgery on my left shoulder. I left that hospital with about a three inch incision on my shoulder and in a world of pain for the next few weeks. Rehab was terrible and often times painful enough to make a grown man cry, which I did. This past May, as nature would have it, I twisted my ankle resulting in a fall which re-tore that same left shoulder rotator. As much as I hated the idea, I went to my Internal Medicine Doctor for test and a referral. I went to him because he has been my Doctor for the past 35 years and I know he does his best to make sure I get the best treatments and health care possible. He sent me to Dr. Todd Moen at Carrell Clinic and I can't thank him enough for that referral. Dr. Moen evaluated my shoulder during the initial visit and advised that we should proceed with a re-torn rotator repair as soon as possible. A re-tear is often difficult to fix and the sooner we do it the better our chances were for a complete… recovery (if everything went well). He was laser focused and eye to eye when he gave me this advice and from that point forward, I put total confidence in his attitude and sincerity. His ability is well documented in his Bio. The following week I was checked into Carrell Clinics Surgical Center and was assured I would get the best of care. That my friends was an understatement. The extreme pain I expected was non-existent. He was one of the first people I saw in recovery and told me that everything went great. His Nurse Jennifer had already set up all my appointments for follow up visits and rehab and is a delightful lady to work with. TODAY was my six week follow up visit and the Doctor, my wife and I were all very excited with the outcome. I still have a few months of rehab but I am pretty much pain free now. I'm sure rehab will create a few reminders that I had surgery but even the Rehab team is very patient and caring. It's a total effort on everyone's part at Carrell and with Dr. Moen's team to provide the highest level of patient care you could possibly find. Now you might ask, what makes this guy think he's an expert on Health care? Well. I'm no expert but as a lifetime athlete that has played at the highest level of my sport, over the past 30 years I have had 12 major surgeries and four of those have been at Carrell Surgical Clinic and as long as Orthopedic surgeons like Dr. Todd Moen are there to keep putting me back together, I will continue to enjoy life at it's fullest.
