If the scale went to 10 I would still give Dr. Figueroa an 11. He is well known as one of the top trauma surgeon in Florida, so his practice as a general surgeon seems to get overlooked. I can tell anyone first hand that for any general surgery, in my case bilateral inguinal hernia repair, Dr. Figueroa should be the skilled physician you want. From diagnosis on everything he did was skilled, informative and caring. He made sure my wife and I thoroughly understood the problem and the solutions available. He was very open and honest regarding different techniques and procedures citing the various pros and cons. This thoroughness helped us pick the right procedure for my particular case. The surgery went very well and recovery has gone exceptionally well. Dr. Figueroa has followed up several times and been available to answer any post op questions we have had. He proved he is a superior surgeon, a caring physician, and simply a charming and engaging gentleman.
