Dr. George John Dangles, MD

I simply had to reschedule my cataract surgery when after trying I could not get out of a spa package on my birthday and the surgery was 2 days before. Oct. 25 Rhonda called and said Nov. 18 was available. This is where it gets more odd, she asked for the contact info of my physicians and it was provided. She began talking about it being non general anesthesia and safe. I am new to the area and instead of going to an internal medicine doctor nearby who I saw most recent, I explained as I was called by the office of a doctor I saw not that long ago and was established with him as well. I have history and my cardiologist review is also within the same facility of this doctor. I rescheduled an appointment Nov. 19 for the surgery Nov. 18, I also have a cardiology apt. and internal medicine apt. nov 5 and nov 7 for clearance. Rhonda called back Oct. 25 sounding out of control, rude and yelling saying I had multiple Tia's, relaying very inaccurate medical info. I had one 2 yrs ago and… extensive testing after in which it could not be confirmed. I had an ablation years ago and it corrected an issue that I was told I did not need to be followed by a Cardiologist. Rhonda kept insisting I had multiple Tia's and kept loudly yelling at me that I put it on the office form. In no way was this even said during the appointment. Rhonda was yelling that she spoke to a denise at the internal medicine doctor. I called and found out there is no denise there at all. She was very confused saying I was not an established patient there and I confirmed that I am fully established with the doctor and facility, and will be a return patient only. What is odd is that Oct. 25, I had not even had the chance to make appointments yet. She was sounding so out of control, I do not even think she could grasp that my family and myself confirmed Nov, 18 surgery as fine. Rhonda heard me on the call say this also. My apts. Nov. 5 and 7 are well before Nov. 18. It is so crazy! I have no idea what the problem is. Rhonda after laughing even a bit as she was yelling about inaccurately saying I had multiple Tia's etc, rudely transferred me to the voicemail of someone named Elayne. She never called and in calling with my family on the call as well. Elayne immediately said "I am aware of the situation." She obviously wasn't aware of what happened with Rhonda earlier that day. Elayne then began yelling talking over us constantly. She could not even be understood and sounded like she was under the influence of a substance. She yelled "I am just going to have Dr. Dangles call. He never called. Nov 1 I simply asked for him to call and Elayne was yelling 'Dr. Dangles is not going to call you." I called my family and asked if they could simply ask for Dr. Dangles to call about this harassing communication. My family called from their cell and was told No, he is not there. Within 10 seconds, my family member got a message from Elayne sounding very out of control and asking for a return call. After the message there were 25 more call and hang ups from Elaynes number. My family was at work.

from Dr. Dangles, Rhonda and Elayne who feels that she is an office mgr. Rhonda is unstable as well and lied saying she spoke to a Denise at Loyola when I found out there is no one named Denise. The manner in which they were speaking over the phone to me. I am 80 years old and it was crazy. Difficult to understand the yelling of Elayne and Rhonda with my special phone. Dr.Dangles told me to just leave my cataracts but I have been told by care providers to have them removed. I think they do not care about someone as old as I am.

Must admit I was quite anxious about having my first eye surgery. Dr. Dangles assured me it was a quick painless procedure. Still....I'm a worry wart...but, he was right! It was a "nothing burger"as they say.! Thank you Doctor, and my eye is doing great!
