Dr. Elina Kari, MD

I wish I could give this a 1000 more stars!! Dr. Kari and the entire staff at USC "Caruso Family Center for Childhood Communication" is beyond awesome, my baby's Cochlear implant surgery couldn't be in better hands. She's an amazing surgeon, kind and compassionate, she really care about her patients, and looks for ways to help them and get the best for them. Thanks Dr. Kari for give Maria a better life.

I thank God for Dr Kari, she was kind, informative, excellent bedside manner, she treated my daughter with the utmost respect, she explained the procedure she was going to do to my daughter as well as myself prior to doing it, she is geuniuely concerned about the patient. She did not say what some of the other physician's were saying about my daughter being unluckyI thought that was an odd comment. I just kept hearing them saying she was unlucky, unlucky,? Dr Kari never said that, she was more christian based and scientist based. She said sometimes these things happen and we don't know why but we are going to do all we can to make it better, starting with the prednisone shots in the ear and move up. I liked that, she is very forth coming in her assessments, she says it like she see's it and then she ask's you if you have any questions and then she begins the process.

Dr. Kari is one of the best doctors I've come across. She hands down saved my life and my hearing. She is meticulous and has steady hands which makes her an excellent surgeon! Her knowledge is amazing and she keeps up with the latest techniques. I am one lucky person to have come across such a brilliant doctor...Also, she had excellent people skills and can explain even the most complex surgeries so that anyone can understand...She's just amazing!

Beautiful offices friendly staff, particularly Deb the nurse that took my vitals. When I met with Dr Kari I was immediately impressed by 2 things. Shes very smart and very compassionate. I explained why I was there and after she examined me she explained the course of treatment she would use. She took her time and listened to us as we told our concerns etc. She was very comforting and explained that we I shouldn't worry because she would solve my problem either with this treatment or another... "don't worry I have some other things in my bag of tricks." Before we left she asked if we had any other questions and she thanked us for making the appointment. Unfortunately we have a lot of experience with Drs and hospitals and I have never, ever had one thank us like that. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone. Shes excellent.
