Was very disappointed with staff and how they treat their patients. Seemed more defined with the money aspects of things than the welfare and comfort of the people. Will never go to that doctor again.

He is a great doctor. I have been seeing him for two years. He does not rush you out, he does not take long. I was reading the reviews about him, which made me furious. Dr. THOMPSON makes sure he meets your illness and needs, for people that say he's scrip happy is just delusional. He is very strict with his medican. He wants to make better for his patience. I have great t Respect for him. He is truly a wise and smart doctor. I would NOT GO to anyone else.

vWe were patients of Dr. Thompson's for years, and the longer we stayed with him the worse he got, almost as if he thought we wouldn't leave. Granted he would write us scripts for what ever we asked for, but it came with an office visit, ALWAYS(even if we had just seen him the day before). The most recent issue and why we finially said enough is enough was a temper tantrum that he threw while I was there waiting (forever, like usual) to see him about pain in my elbow and hand. He was screaming, throwing this laptop, slamming doors and using fowl language about another patient and at the other patient and his staff. Let's just say the "F Bombs" were flying. I had never seen a Dr. act like this before and I have worked in hospitals for the last 10 years, it was like listening to my two year old. Then when he finally did calm down he came into my room, told me he was going to get me out of there quick, wrote me some scripts and headed to the next patient. Didn't even look at my elbow or… hand, just wrote me a referral for another Dr. Didn't even ask about the problems I was having or try to get my any relief himself as my PCP for almost 10 years. We have put up with him switching offices, three times and going out on his own. We have struggled through the billing issues, the referral problems, the waisted time sitting and waiting to see him and his 5-10 minute appointments, and the same question every time you go to see him "why are you here today?", when he is the one who insists you make an appointment even when you are not sick. His Nurse Pract. is wonderful - she is kind, sweet, listens to you, asks you questions, sits and gets to know you. She wants to really help you and help you understand why you are there and how she can help. She needs to run as fast as she can to another practice before he drags her down with him. If you have to go to Thompson Medical group, ask to see her, she truely is there to help people.

He doesn't diagnose anything he refers to others even for simple things. He seems to have trouble focusing and confused.

When I went to Dr. Thompson a few years ago, he proved to be a phenomenal physician, but at one appointment where he insisted I needed to be on disability, he wouldn't complete the paperwork needed for getting on disability. So I pushed myself even harder at work (salaried) and going to other medical appointments which all together added up to a 38 hour day, which does not exist. So what finally happened? I wound up in the hospital about 10 times within a period of 6 months, eventually being fired when I was admitted to the hospital with severe tachycardia caused by a pre-existing arrhythmia that comes and goes. At that time, his office staff seemed to be in a state of flux, with some off due to illness, others on maternity leave, etc., so there were simply not enough staff to do everything that needed to be done. At my last appointment, he spent only a few minutes with me as one of his other patients had more questions for him, so he simply left me and went back to the patient he had… seen before me. He told me could spend no more than a few minutes with me and that was that. I'd like to try seeing him again because he was an excellent physician; I just hope his staffing problem is resolved. As to accuracy in diagnosing me, I've become accustomed to taking all my records (X-rays, MRI results, blood test results, notes from other physicians, et al,) to doctors with me and simply telling them what my "major issues" are because it's obvious that not one physician I've seen in Arizona in the last 30-plus years, save for one, care to hear about all my conditions, past injuries, why I'm taking medications that I take, and so on. Thanks to lousy doctors, I have become much worse and at this point am staring death in the face due to constant falls, dizziness, severe clumsiness and so on.
