I went three weeks ago and met with Dr. Jacobs and she is a very nice lady and I honestly think she’s a really good doctor but her staff as it pertains to leaving messages and returning phone calls they are unfortunately subpar. She prescribed Accutane for me and after speaking with my PCP he advised me not to take it. So I called back and left a voicemail telling her that Accutane was no longer an option and no one ever returned my call. So, after waiting three weeks and not receiving a phone call, I called to cancel my next appointment. They didn’t even bother to ask me why I was canceling nor did they ask if I wanted to reschedule. She simply said, “OK I’ll cancel that for you”. I will never go back and I think that every patient should be well aware of what they’re walking into when they go to see a new doctor. Hope this helps someone.

Brilliant doctor - she was able to diagnose my skin disease but more impressive is she could tell from my story of medical issues and surgeries that I have a RARE disease that has been In my family for many generations and now we know about it and how it is passed on. I can't explain enough how many 100s of Doctors have been seen by people In my family and it's never been caught and this one skin doctor asks 3 questions and turns to her nurse and says something- next thing I know and a blood test later we have an answer. She needs to be at UAB or somewhere not in the suburbs doing skin stuff!

I have been a patient of Dr. Jacobson's for quite a few years, and have always been extremely impressed by her knowledge and professionalism. I highly recommend her for common dermatological complaints as well as specialized needs.

She is great. I have hidradenitis suppurativa, and only a few weeks after seeing her, my symptoms were almost completely gone. I have recommended her to everyone I know! Dr. Jacobson and the staff at Inverness Dermatology & Laser are outstanding at what they do!

She talks down to her patients and comes off super arrogant, even when she doesn't accurately diagnose her patients. Won't be back. Too bad since the receptionists and staff are really nice.
