My son was brought in my EMS after having a seizure at the local Arcade. His first ever seizure, this doctor insisted he did not have a seizure and stated her reason being he did not have any post-ictal episodes. She pretty much dismissed us saying it was a synopal episode, she was concerned that he had done drugs that may have caused this and questioned me about this a few times, which I understand. She stated his CT came back good showing no Brain Lesions/Tumors. I needless to say insisted our MD do a EEG which came back VERY Abnormal as well as his MRI showed a brain Leision. He did indeed have a seizure that night he was brought to the ER. NOT ALL PEOPLE THAT HAVE SEIZURES HAVE POST-ICTAL VOIDING, OR LOSS OF STOOL!! Maybe a bit more training in this area, as well as a class in bedside manner would be helpful!!!!
