Dr. Elsa Lopez Cruz, MD

If you are a new patient looking for a mental health provider, do yourself the biggest favor and look elsewhere. I feel awful for writing this, but the truth is, had I been cautioned about Dr. Cruz before having her treat my daughter, I would not have wasted hers and my daughter’s time. I have never met a physician who is incredibly confused about her own patients. She mistook my daughter for another patient. Whenever we requested for prescription refills, she actually asks us what medication she herself prescribes. This happens every single month!

Horrible person!!!!!!!! I have no idea how she got her license. She horrible with kids - doesn't know what she is talking about - every time I call her she asks the same questions about which medication I'm giving my boys - lady you are the doctor read the file before talking to me. Asking the same question again and agin - doesn't pay attention to anything you say - shaves medication like they were chocolate - lets try this lets try this lets try this......her staff keep changing all the time - she has a dirty and horrible office - no diploma of graduating from any university - when she sees us she has time to open her mail, check her text messages and responds to them - has 0 manner as to handling kids - all the calls of the office goes to her cell phone - she doesn't even have staff in the office. Just a horrible doctor - please someone suspend her license!!!!!!

I do not understand how she got her license. It should be revoked! She is the absolute worst. Doesn't pay attention to anything you say, just keeps repeating that everything will be fine. She makes extremely judgmental comments and off-the-wall statements also. She is extremely useless. She has students do her bookkeeping and they clearly don't know what they're doing. I've been charged for services she did not provide.

The absolute worst. She doesn’t pay attention to anything you’re saying and will have you repeat everything. Seeing her was a total waste of time. Didn’t offer any guidance or reassurance. Useless. I don’t know how she stays in business.

ZERO stars. We were sent here because she was the only adolescent psychiatrist anywhere near us (we still have to drive over 45 min). My 14-year old child had to experience her terrible attitude, lateness (over 30 min), lack of empathy or compassion - she didn't even give my son eye contact, and asked me, his parent, all the questions instead. She answered personal phone calls, wrote a prescription, and sent us on our way. She should not be in practice, especially with more sensitive teens.

We were charged $350 for a visit when it should have been $25 copay. Several calls and weeks later no resolution

Dr. Cruz did not make eye contact, repeated the same questions as if she wasn't really listening the first time. Spent the whole time typing at her computer, not looking up and was extremely quick to write a prescription, didn't even ask what medication allergies my daughter had.

The first time I came to see Dr Cruz I thought she was kind because she stayed late to fit me in, but when I started talking to her I realized she's not listening to what I was saying. She put me on anti depressants and I tried getting them refilled and she wouldn't do it...I let her know that I will come back to see her just please give me a refill.. The last thing I need in my life is withdrawal from these meds. She didn't care. I set up an appointment for the next day and when I got there the door was locked...I finally got in and her office was packed...about 8 of us were all told to come in at 630. I'm never going to see this doctor again!!!

Dr. Cruz is more concerned with her assumptions than with the facts, concerns, and needs of the patient and the patient's family. Not a team player. It's her way or the highway.

I made an appointment with this office, and when I arrived, the office was locked up. I called to ask what was going on, and a very confused sounding person answered saying he had no idea what was going on. I suggest that this office invest in getting some better help and getting better organized.
