Dr. Elson Lai, MD

My mother had an issue with her eye and was referred by our primary physician to see Dr. Lai. The facility was pristine and clean, with very nice technology. The center was definitely a lot better than other places we’ve been to. Dr. Lai also treated my mother nicely during the visit and was incredibly informative. She went back for a follow up and was cleared after a week. However, at the end of the year, we suddenly received a call that informed my mother that her appointment for her yearly checkup was THAT DAY. We had not contacted the office to make an appointment nor had our primary physician referred us to him following that first two visits. It does not make sense to make an appointment for us without our asking. Also, how could they expect my mother to be free that day and to drop whatever she was doing to go? Additionally, now that the new year has started and we changed insurance plans, we suddenly received a notice that Dr. Lai’s office had requested a service for our… insurance to pay for and that it was cancelled because our old insurance plan ended. We were not informed by the office of what service my mother needed and it was a complete surprise to receive this letter. He is a good physician but his office conducts shady practices. Who makes an appointment for us without our permission and tries to bill our insurance in the new year for a service we didn’t ask for and were not informed about?

Excellent doctor. Woke up with eye pain. Called in and the staff got me an appointment right away. Was also seen pretty quickly even though his office was really busy! Office is clean and the equipment looked state of the art. Would recommend Dr. Lai highly

Dr. Lai is by far the best eye doctor I've met to this day! I went in for an appointment to get my eyes checked. Dr. Lai is very knowledgeable and professional. A big plus that Dr. Lai can speak Chinese, will definitely take my parents here to get their eyes checked! Highly recommend Dr. Lai to everyone!!
