Dr. Enrique A. Valdivia did a great job with the procedure he had done for me. I had no complications whatsoever. He even cared enough to follow up the next day with a phone call to me asking how I felt, and if there were any complications or even if I had any questions...and to feel free to contact should any question arise. I will definitely go back to him in the future.

I was referred for a colonoscopy. During my first consultation, Dr. Valdivia was very curt, rushed, had very little interest in my history, etc. I was having abdominal pain and he only agreed to request my previous colonoscopy information when I suggested it. The abdominal pain turned out to be an intestinal obstruction; I took the prep for the procedure, nothing came through, and my abdominal pain was excruciating. I showed up for the colonoscopy, which was at an outpatient surgery center; Dr. Valdivia did examined me, but nothing, just told me to repeat the prep the next night. He seemed in a hurry to get to the next patient, to keep the assembly line in the surg center going. After taking the prep the 2nd time, the same thing happened - nothing came through. I ended up going to the emergency room in terrible pain, being admitted to the hospital and going through 3 procedures to correct the problem. I had no follow-up from Dr. Valdivia, although the hospital told me they had… sent all the information to him. Dr. Valdivia exacerbated the problem by just telling me to repeat what had already not worked, increasing the bloating, compaction, etc., by not recommending one of the procedures I ultimately ended up needing. It seemed like it was just a money thing - how many patients can you see, how many procedures can you get done. Terrible experience!

I saw Dr Valdivia for approximately 3 years during my diagnosis, treatment and follow up for Hep C. My visits were 1-2 times per month depending on my condition. Dr. Valdivia has a very warm, kind personality. You feel comforted just seeing him. He is extremely intelligent. I felt complete trust in him and it made my Hep c treatment so much more tolerable. I completed the treatment after 72 weeks and am happy to say I am now SVR (cured)!!!!! I have recommended Dr. Valdivia to my family and friends- all with satisfied results. He will be my Gastrenterologist/ Internist as long as I Live.
