Dr. Eric Dockter, MD

Inattentive, Aloof and Chaotic was what I witnessed with this Surgeon and his staff. It was shocking to say the least, that Dr. Dockter never once acknowledged my presence or thought to even introduce himself, as I sat with my family member prior to surgery. I never saw him once after surgery either . This was a first for me, as all the surgeons I have worked with don’t act this way. As one of the first surgery patients of the day, my family members surgery started over an hour late. I had been told by the nurse that surgery would only be about two hours. After patiently waiting for 3 hours and without any updates, I had to go find a medical staff for an update. Not only was it extremely unprofessional, but No one should ever be left waiting or wondering an hour or more past the expected surgery time, Sadly, Dr. Dockter only called one time after surgery, even though his staff had been notified of post op complications. Dr. Dockter’s PA must be in training, because he… literally didn’t know anything or was just super confused. After 2.5 weeks of constant post op pain, nausea, vomiting and in ability to sleep, a third phone call was made to his office. For over 15 years, I worked in a medical clinic and along side surgeons. I am truly appalled that this doctor, nor his PA or any of his staff ever reached out to schedule a post op surgery appointment or to provide the physical therapy referral they said they would, The communication in this office is clearly nonexistent. At minimum. It takes 5 rings before reception answers, only to be put on hold for another 15 minutes. You’re then told someone will call you back shortly, but after waiting 3-4 hours you are forced to call again and the overly annoying process of phone tag starts again. Moreover, as someone who has been through surgeries of my own, this “communication process” for a post operative patient experiencing pain is inexcusable. Not only did Dr, Dockter and his staff lose trust for any future care or services within our family, but we definitely won’t recommend their services either.

Just want to say I called to make an appointment and the receptionist was very rude!!!
