Dr. Eric Roberto Vernier, MD

I went in for my son's appointment in February to get the results from his EEG and they didn't have them said they would call the hospital get them and call me that afternoon. I have called and asked and no one knows anything. I have even sent an email to the office manager and she said she would look into it and haven't heard anything I feel like my child's health is not a priority with them. I just don't understand it our next appointment isn't even until May I am not sure if they will even have the results by then feeling upset to say the least.

Dr.vernier is a nice doctor. He helps get things going and on the roll. He has been a great help to the progress and treatment plan for my daughter since she started with him . She’s made such great progress and because of his help and his nurse practitioner my daughter will be where she needs to be developmental wise . I haven’t had the best experience customer service wise with the staff but overall being with Capernaum has been a good experience.

Very friendly staff. Compassionate care. I'm very pleased with the progress so far.

Dr. Vernier is quick to diagnose and prescribe medication without all the data to back up his recommendations. Recently, since he left All Children’s, we drive three hours round trip to see him. Every time we’ve gone to see him at Capernaum Medical Center, they have been completely disorganized, and my daughter’s chart has not been updated as to why we’re there (either for a hospital follow-up or results for a 24hr EEG). This was made clear at our hospital follow-up when they were asking us if she had ever been hospitalized, when & where. This past appointment was supposed to be for the results of her ambulatory EEG (which they do in their office) they started the appointment by asking if she had any diagnostic testing, when & where. Are you kidding me? She had it there! After waiting an hour and a half to see the doctor I ask the girls at the checkout how much longer we can expect to see him, we had a long drive home and had to get back to work, they had no idea where the… doctor was or when we would see him. They told me he was running behind an hour and I reminded them I was going on 2 hours of waiting. Eventually, the nurse practitioner came in to read us his notes on her EEG except she saw he hadn’t even read her report - six weeks later. He intended on reading 24 hours of data, finally deciding which medicine to prescribe (because that recommendation kept changing) and coming up with a treatment plan in the 5-10min he talks to us??? We ended up leaving with nothing. No results. No doctor visit. Nothing. We waited six weeks for answers as to what is going on with our daughter. We’ve been worried sick and he failed us and he failed her, and he’s failing in his practice. Every time we go, it’s like a patient mill. They are overrun and understaffed. Completely disorganized, negligent, and unqualified to handle the severe cases brought before him.

I was referred to this office by my pediatrician and was told I'd have a call from them within 48 hours of them sending them a referral. I never did get a call so I called this office 4 times over the course of a few days and they never once answered their phone. I also left 3 voicemails for them and never got a return phone call. Their voicemail recording says to leave a message and they will return your call within 24 hours. This shows me how they operate and tend to their business and I cant imagine leaving my child's well being in their hands if they can't handle the simple task of returning a phone call or scheduling a new patient.

My kids don't really care to go to the doctor but loved coming to see Dr Eric, he was so knowledgeable and nice, and totally understands the kids fears and makes them relax and think is a game while he examines them. We will follow wherever he will go.
