Dr. Bertrand R. De Silva

I saw him following my sleep study. Within two minutes he asked me if I was depressed and before I could answer, he answered his own question by declaring I was depressed. Nothing can be further from truth! He asked many inappropriate questions and was very wired. I found him to be arrogant. He declared that if I do not go on CPAP, I will die. Nothing he said made any sense so I saw two other sleep apnea specialists following my visit - one at Pomona Valley , Clairmont and the other at USC. Neither one recommended CPAP machine. I was specially very impressed by USC doctor who was extremely knowledgeable.I am glad that I did not continue seeing Dr De Silva or took his advise and I do not use CPAP and am still alive in better health than ever.

To anyone who is thinking about seeing this doctor, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!! Please do not make the same mistake I did. When I went to see him I was hoping Dr Silva would be a great doctor. Little did I know how wrong that turned out to be. He is incredibly arrogant, rude, downright pushy and mean. I was shocked by his unprofessional behavior. He was asking too many personal questions with a smirk on his face. When I told him I was uncomfortable by his line of questioning, he just laughed it off. He did not seem interested in answering any of my questions. When I came out of this office I felt completely disrespected. He has absolutely no bedside manners and he was acting like a schoolyard bully. To anyone who is thinking about seeing this doctor, take it from me, you do not want to waste your time. Especially when you have tons of other options. If you do a simple google search you will know what I am talking about. Dr Silva is unprofessional, unethical, utterly incompetent… and does not have the social skills to be a decent human being. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!! you have been warned.

He is a great doctor with a interesting sense of humor. Not many people could get it. Overall he is great and answered every question. He now works for Performance Sleep Labs and his staff are also amazing. There all so very helpful

Outstanding doctor! I never felt rushed with my questions and Dr. DeSilva explained, in simple terms, how my results could affect my symptoms be alieviated. His sleep Technologist was incredible too. Rooms a lot better than Hoag Hospital. Private bathroom and outstanding, relaxing setting. Would recommend to everyone.

Pushy, arrogant, and weird. I'm so upset I can't even think what to say. The most unpleasant doctor I have ever met. Pushing harsh and unnecessary measures off on patient and family members. This doctor really knows how to make a horrible situation worse. No compassion or bed-side manner--or human skills. I agree w/ the earlier review that was unfavorable.

I would definitely recommend Dr. de Silva. He is a wonderfully sweet doctor who is absolutely the best choice for anyone.

This is a true hero, he literally saves the lives of his patients. My only complaint is that he moves at the speed of light and is hard to keep up with. I miss his old assistant and seeing him at ASM. But he is a brilliant guy, you won't be sorry you put your care into his hands!

I have had a sleep study done under the supervision of Doctor De Silva. I never was treated as well as I was under his care, his office staff were the greatest. He is a very sensitive Doctor with great love for his patients.

My only complaint is that the first time I needed to see him, the receptionist told me the first appointment available was two weeks away. I was panicked, and I started to cry because I needed to see him right away, so she squeezed me into his schedule within a few days. I think he's funny...he sat down with me, gave me lots of information, and I left his office feeling so much better. People who don't like his bedside manner must not like their doctors being personal with them...before I left his office he'd told me about his wife and his little girls (because they're close in age to my daughter). He's wonderful, and I'm so glad I found him.

Dr. De Silva is the best doctor I have ever had the experience of dealing with. His kindness and humanity speak for themselves and his bravery to "push the envelope" literally saved my Father's life. My family and I will be forever grateful for his caring and compassionate ways. I can not recommend him highly enough.
