Dr. Federico Jose Serrot, MD

As a patient I find him patient and very understanding. He really wants his patients and their family to understand what is happening, why and what he can do to help. Totally impressed.

I unfortunately have been involved as either a patient or concerned family member in more than a dozen surgeries. I have never met a surgeon with a better "bedside manner" than Dr. Serrot. He is patient, thoughtful and thorough, and he never makes you feel like he is in a hurry or that his time is more valuable then yours. I hope you never need surgery, but if you do you will be in good hands with Dr. Serrot and the equally wonderful staff we encountered at Emory St. Josephs.

Dr. Federico Serrot is an unbelievable surgeon. I was admitted via ER and was fortunate that Dr Serrot was on-call to perform my surgery. Yes, he checks all the boxes for technical excellence including for minimally invasive surgery techniques. His bedside manner and accessibility has set a new bar for me that I think other doctors will have a hard time meeting. So much so that he has renewed my faith in the healthcare system where so often you feel somewhat helpless in a complex maze that can feel impersonal. Dr Serrot makes it personal again. He truly cares for you from pre-surgery through to follow-up and makes himself incredibly accessible. He understands that "care" is so much more than just the surgical event itself. Needing to have surgery is never a highlight for anyone, but in the care of Dr Serrot it's going to be as good as it possibly can be.

Dr. Federico J. Serrot is a gifted surgeon with incredible skill and bedside manners. We could not have asked for better care of our elderly mother during her surgery.
