Dr. Ferheen S Shamim, MD

Frankly, Dr. Shamim is a hero of mine. I told her so at a follow-up office visit to a recent procedure she performed on my spine. I have dealt with chronic back issues for most of my life. Dr. Shamim's intervention greatly reduced my back pain and discomfort that was getting totally out-of-hand. I highly recommend her to patients looking for a caring, thorough and accomplished physician. She took as much time as needed to answer my questions and did her homework (she consulted with both my Primary Care Physician and the Neurosurgeon had consulted with for additional source medical information). She reviewed my MRI's and was the one to pin-point my major pain source. I am pleased to have her on my care team. I would also recommend the Physical Therapists at her Englewood NJ office location. Mr. James Kim, PT is great.

I had the Tenex surgery on my right hip then 6 weeks later on my left. She did an amazing job at explaining and relieving my hip pain.

Dr. Shamim recently started taking care of my 93 year old mother. I am particular about doctors, but she was phenomenal. Mom had knee pain and got an appointment immediately (other orthopedists had a 5 week wait). Conducted a thorough exam, provided cortisone shot to effectively relieve pain, and Rx for PT, and recommended follow up for osteoporosis. Dr. Shamim is extremely kind and skillful with elderly in addition to being smart and effective. Highly recommend!

Seen dr.shamim for tenex procedure.....well she did a excellent procedure and decreased my pain significantly and very concerned bedside manners, thank you Dr.

Dr. Shamim showed compassion and concern with my daughter during our visit. She explained a lot to us regarding concussions. She is an upbeat Doctor and made our visit very pleasant.

SHE CAN PERFORM THE MOST UP TO DATE PROCEDURES. I HAD A CORTISONE INJECTION IN MY HIP THAT PREVIOUSLY NEEDED TO BE DONE IN HOSPITAL BUT DR. SHAMIM HAS THE UP TO DATE SKILL TO TAKE CARE OF IT IN THE OFFICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. SHAMIM TO EVERYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR CARING,KIND ,PROFESSIONAL RELIEF FROM PAIN. not enough stars for her . deserves a ten!

I was lucky enough to come across Dr. Shamin this past winter. I had calcium deposits that flared up in my left shoulder causing me excurciating pain. Through the FAST/Tenex procedure that Dr. Shamin performed, I was back to normal with very little downtime. This procedure enabled me to forgo a rotator cuff surgery!!!

I had been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a couple of years now from running and marathon training. No runner really ever wants to take time off, but when the pain gets to be unbearable you start to consider your options. My boyfriend convinced me to see someone about it. One Dr. had explained the F.A.S.T. procedure to me and referred me to Dr. Shamim. The procedure was literally "fast" and the recovery was short with no need for PT. All I can tell you is that if you suffer from plantar fasciitis this procedure is the way to go. Dr. Shamim is unbelievably gifted at what she does. She was always honest with me and I followed her advice on when to start running again and have experienced zero pain! It has been 3 months since my procedure and I have been running again for the last three weeks in a new training program for my next half marathon and could not be more pleased. I am enjoying running again. I can not be more grateful for the work and care of Dr. Shamim.

Dr. Shamim is just wonderful! She has a wonderful disposition and exceptional bedside manner. Well read and very knowledgeable in her field, Dr Shamim explains everything clearly and thoroughly and is more than happy to answer each and every question in as much detail as you need. Not only does Dr. Shamim make you feel comfortable, she takes a personal interest in YOU and makes you feel like you are her single most important patient. She is just awesome !
