Dr. Frank Robert Glatz, MD

I've never met a doctor with such a huge ego. I went in with throat tightness. He glanced at my ears (less than a second per ear) and I made a joke about having perforated eardrums because I have been treated by ENTs with multiple ear surgeries for over 30 years. He immediately said they weren't perforated and I disagreed, so he left and ordered a hearing and membrane test to prove he was right. The audiologist acknowledged that he could see the perforations, but Glatz never even looked at my ears again. He tried to explain the ear drum to me and got mad that I didn't care. I said "It doesn't matter whether you're right or wrong, I'm here for my throat." He said all the other doctors and ENTs in my life had been wrong and said "who cares about the audiologist?" when I brought him up. Then he left and refused to see me, and told the PA he wasn't allowed to see me. He never even looked at my throat. Two PAs apologized for his behavior but said there was nothing they could do. One got me… in to see a dfferent ENT who was great. The staff was all wonderful, but Glatz cared so much about being right that he refused to look at the ear again, or even treat me for what I came in for unless I agreed with him about my ears. It was so bizarre, and I've never experienced anything like it.

Cares about his patients...

My son saw Dr. Glatz years ago. I just saw his commercial that claims he treats his clients like family. This couldn't be further from the truth. He has horrible bedside manner and doesn't like when you ask questions as if you are questioning his experience. He had to call one of the nurses in the room to talk to me because he just couldn't deal with me. You wait forever in his office. Then he treats you as a number. Save yourself the pressure and see someone else who is patient and will answer your questions and concerns without being annoyed.

I have encountered some horrible doctors but Dr Glatz top the cake. You can be a very high skilled doctor but if you don't have bedside manners you will be seen has a dangerous doctor and should. He had no regard to my son's or I concerns. He went in, didn't explain any of procedures he was going to do and scared my son when he stuck his scope up his nare while his assistant forced him back on his seat. Afterwards when I told my concerns on the way we were being attended he gave my sarcastic remarks. Then he wanted to bill my insurance more then what he did. Avoid this doctor !!!!!

For starters he was apparently a highly recommended Dr. Thought we were finally going to get answers for our daughter, didn't turn out that way, I was constantly driving back and fourth from Brownsville to Harlingen just to see him and he would still treat us like we weren't of any priority or helpful the longer we stuck with him the more arrogant and ego was actually up their. My daughter was seeing him for a few months until one day he decided to tell myself and my husband if you don't do cochlear implants I'm not your Dr maybe he can pull that conversation up from his recorder highly doubt he would record it bc of how big of an inconsiderate he made himself look my husband and I looked at each other and said that was fine your not the only one that exists but I can say this much if we would have stayed with him for my daughters dr we would have made the biggest mistake of our lives because he made the wrong diagnosis and without proper protocol so no I don't recommend Glatz to be a… child's dr. Highly recommend anyone but him. His secretary as well had the nerve to call me and say that I was a horrible mom for not doing cochlear implants.

Poor Bedside manner and unprofessionalism extends to office staff. Does not take time to explain. Screamed at us for asking a question. I am a health care professional.

Had appointment at 2:50 pm and Dr.Glatz came in at 3:15pm, for me that's not professional.

I waited for 2 hours before seeing the doctor, and I don't like their policy of cramming a large amount of patients into one time slot, I find it disrespectful to a patients time, it makes one feel that their just doing it to cover more patients. To finalize staff is very indifferent and non courteous to patients,everyone has a serious faces and reply with animosity. When greeted by the Physician he was in a hurry but to be fair physician spoke clear and was very direct.

I can hear now because of this wonderful Dr. He is one of the best doctors I ever had. He tackles the problem and solves it. I can now feel that I can join conversations and enjoy the everything I was missing for years.
