Dr. Gary Levinson, MD

Did not listen to my concerns about my symptoms, even brought my husband to my last appointment and he would not listen to him either, dismissed our concerns. Ended up in the emergency room with EXACTLY what we felt was the issue, had to have surgery to correct the issue.

Extremely bright. Professional. Thorough. Staff folk are very helpful and polite.

Great Physician.

Dr Levinson is a master of evidence based medicine.

Wait times to get an appointment for a GP are often weeks to see him His staff is unprofessional and seldom answer the phone when you call you get a machine. Dr. Levinson is OK but the staff at the office not what I would call hard working and caring. they can be very rude also. You have to fight to get the medical attention you need and are paying for. I think that they forget that they are in a service industry and not giving good care to their clients. We can go else where and you should when you get this type of treatment.

After reading the reviews I felt enthusiastic. I tried to make an appointment, the staff were abrupt and only gave me an appointment for 3 weeks ahead in spite of me explaining urgency. I arrived waited for them to deal with an irate man demanding his records ahead of me. I felt then maybe I was in the wrong place, but persevered, eventually saw Dr. Levinson who walking in and sat down computer in lap then as an after thought he stood up to try shake my hand. He was cold rude condescending and intimidating. I felt trapped and as soon as he took me out to reception to ask the nurse to do some blood work, the nurse went back to chat to him and I left never to return! No body deserves to be treated that badly. I called from around the corner to say that I had been stressed the doctor didn't even have the decency to call me back to see if he could help or even refer me to another doctor. Makes one wonder why this doctor has the Hippocratic oath prominently displayed in his rooms with his… certificates for everything he has ever done. I was so disappointed and felt so let down. In retrospect it seems like the good reviews were written by family , friends and employees. I hope that this will induce this doctor to do some introspection and 1. Give better training to his staff. 2. expect a higher standard of professionalism from his staff and 3. maybe he wll learn to relate better to human beings who are in pain and are hurting, whether it be physical, mental psychological or emotional. He needs to learn empathy and kindness to replace the judgmental behavior.

5 Stars for Dr. Levinson!He diagonised my 78 yr. old mom w/bi-polar & was quite accurate!The meds he prescribed were very good too!I have used him for yrs. myself.His is the Best Doctor I have ever seen! I drive approx. 150 miles to see him & he is worth it!He could smile more though!!
