Dr. Gary Wiesman, MD

'Dr' Weisman and his team are a complete scam. After their receptionist Julia ran my insurance to confirm that I was within network (before visiting, and upon arrival) several weeks later I was hit with a large bill for the visit and was told they were an out of network provider. After some back and forth, I got Julia to refile the claim, and she called me to say that it was a mistake, and that I was actually in network. Julia even had the audacity to ask if I wanted to go forward with an unnecessary surgery that the 'doctor' had recommended since I was now in network...needless to say, I refused to let this lady trick me again and told her that I am going to wait to see how the billing plays out this time around and low and behold, a month later I called to check up on the claim and yet again, I was out of network. I understand that the medical billing world that we live in is fairly convoluted. That said, after having Julia confirm that I was in-network several different times… prior to the appointment coupled with the fact that both their website and zocdoc says that Aetna is in-network, you would assume that filing a claim correctly would be a relatively straightforward process. Not with Julia and this practice. Time and time again she proved her inability to complete simple billing tasks. Now onto 'Dr' Weisman - this guy is also a joke. Clearly I was in a hurry and didn't do any proper due diligence before my appointment (shame on me for that) but please take the time to read the reviews about this place. The guy has ZERO bedside manner and literally just sticks and prods you without any rhyme or reason to it. After coming in for a simple request to get a referral to see a sleep doctor, I ended up with a nasal endoscopy and several other procedures that he did not ask permission to do and next thing you know, I am paying $500 out of pocket (and didn't get a referral, rather he wanted to perform a surgery that was unnecessary based on my visit to another ENT after this nightmare of a visit). PLEASE, save yourself and do not visit this practice. Both the doctor and his sidekick Julia are scam artists that are not to be trusted.

I had nasal surgery for collapsed nasal valves and cosmetic tip enhancement. My nose is a mess!!! Has never looked right since. Nose Collapses on both sides when I breath in. Can not breath correctly. Crooked nose with irregular tip. Has completely destroyed my nose. Need to now go in for a repair and who nose if they can fix.

I had sinus issues for years and had never found any real relief. I was in serious discomfort from months of not being able to breathe through my nose when I found Dr. Wiesman on this site. I was given an appointment to see him right away (I was even offered to see him the same day!). He has a very serious demeanor, which in a way is what I was looking for: someone who knew how to fix me, not to make small talk! He was very thorough. Within two months, he performed my surgery, did my follow-ups, and I was 100% recovered. If you're looking for someone who is an expert in his field, this is the doctor to see. His office is clean and modern, his staff is very nice and professional, and even the hospital staff where I had my surgery done was amazing. Thank you, Dr. Wiesman.

I have had ear problems and sinus problems for years that were never taken seriously by my doctor because they would just say it was allergies. I went to Dr. Gary Wiesman after I was desperate for relief and to find the answers to my suffering. The office was by the Red Line and I found the office beautiful and helpful. There was a very caring staff and Dr. Wiesman had and excellent bedside manner. I recommend him highly because now I have had surgery for my problem after working with him for a month with other remedies, and finally I am feeling 100 percent better. I am so happy I found Dr. Wiesman.

the office was dirty he was rude and said its just acid he was going to give me some medicine but i had to remind him I was pregnant and he threw the papers and said "ohh well then you can go no need to come back" He did not help at all very upset !

I was referred to Dr. Wiesman by my son's pediatrician for a problem with adenoids, and waited three months for our appointment. Dr.Wiesman was arrogant, rude, condescending, and had the worst bedside manner I've ever seen. I think that he would be better off as a veterinarian because this man has no clue how to deal with human children. Without any forewarning he poked and prodded my little boy and left him in tears, he was unapologetic and acted as if he were surprised that my son was in discomfort for having a 12 inch instrument shoved in his nose and throat. When I questioned him on diagnosis, treatment, and side effects of prescribed medicine, he was crass and almost unwilling to discuss anything with me. Dr. Wiesman, acted as if he was bothered by my interest in my sons health, and quite literally brushed me off. Id also like to mention that his nurse was an idiot. When I mentioned to her that my son had once before had adenoids surgically removed and that they had re-grown (hed… had x-rays done a month earlier), she quickly and ignorantly told me that it was not possible and that I was mistaken. Between Dr. Wiesmans uneducated and quick to respond staff, and his terrible bedside manner Id prefer to scour the city to find another Doctor to attend my son, than to ever step foot in his office again. I could care less about his expertise, or skill, the fact is that he treated my son and I with a great deal of disrespect, I am an educated woman who is entitled to question my sons Doctor about treatment. My suggestion for Dr. Wiesman would be to take a few courses in sensitivity training, he desperately needs it.
