Dr. Gayle S Vest, MD

Dr. Vest was a young doctor who was part of an Obstetrics / Gyn. practice in Chapel Hill. I was a first time mother about to give birth at Durham General Hospital, Durham,NC. I had never met her during the my prenatal visits but she was on call at the hospital the day I delivered our daughter. I was given high doses of pitocin and labored all night. When I asked to see her and asked for an epidural, I was told she isn't available and "We don't do that." She came in the Delivery Room in time to use forceps to deliver my child. I never even saw her in any follow-up appt. It has been 39 YEARS and frankly, I have NEVER had a worse doctor.

Dr. Vest was a wonderful doctor, but reception staff would not return calls, provide test results, fax medical records, etc. You have to contact staff many times before they will respond to your requests.

Dr. Vest takes her time with patients and makes you feel very comfortable in her presence. She is very kind and soft spoken and makes going to the gynecologist a less stressful event for any woman by being so understanding and caring. I would recommend her to anyone wanting a physician who truly loves her work and takes an interest in her patients and doesn't treat them like a number. Very respectable lady and I don't know what I would do without her for my doctor. Keep up the great job Mrs. Vest!!

Dr. Vest is excellent. I have been her patient for over 25 years and wouldn't even consider going to anyone else!
