Dr. Geoffery L. Stanczyk

He was always at least 30 mins late with appointments. The fact of it was my husband started making jokes like don't be late to the birth... Sure enough it was. I was in labor with my water broken for hours before he showed up. It was so bad my child's head was litterly out of me and went back inside. His remark was well you should have waited till your appointment. He didn't take notes on my chart so my records weren't there for the hospital staff, and when he arrived he had no idea they put me on random pills that apparently shouldn't have been given to a woman in labor. I could have lost my child and he had no care in the world. The following day he couldn't even come by the hospital room he had a different doctor check in. He always seems rushed. I came to see him a few months ago because I was constantly having legs cramps like I was on my period 24/7, so he had me take a low dose birth control to regulate my hormones. It worked great for a while until this past month, so I called and told the nurse what was going on. She told me there was nothing on my chart about leg cramps, instead it said I was having painful periods. REALLY? I wonder, in all those years doctors go to school, are they ever taught basic listening skills. Maybe there are blood clots in my leg. Maybe I will die tonight in my sleep. Would Dr. Stanczyk even care? And to top it all off, the nurse said she would talk to him and call me back after she did. That was a week ago, and I still haven't received a call.

This is a cold, clinical, unfeeling person. He used his own health as an example - which is ironic as he is male. He is probably fine as a practitioner, but is one of those doctors who come across as a mechanic rather than a healer.

I went to him when I was pregnant with my first child. Dr. Stanczyk is good at what he does, and I always felt very comfortable in his hands. That said, his appointments were always very quick and he never said much. I had a very easy pregnancy, but the few questions I did have, he seemed to brush aside and I felt rushed. He has pretty much zero patient interaction, which was disappointing, being it was my first child and I had no idea what to expect. I was never told anything about the progress of my pregnancy, unless I specifically asked about it. I would come in, have my urine checked, have my bp taken (no idea what is was), wait for the dr to come in, he would listen to the babies heartbeat (no idea what it was), measure my fundal height (no idea what it was) and send me on my way without ever saying more than "hi, how are you?" and if I had a question, he would have me ask while he took the hb and measured, so it felt that he wasnt really paying much attention to what I said. If I… brought up a concern, his advice was pretty much always "lay on your left side for a while". Luckily, like i said, i had a very uncomplicated and easy pregnancy so i only had a couple of simple questions. Other than that, his staff was always courteous, but no one was really overly friendly or even said much. I usually arrived 10-15 min early for each appt and they usually got me in either right before my appt time or exactly on time, so the wait was never very long.

He is an excellent Doctor. my daughter in law is now pregant and I am going to send her to him. He is a very caring doctor.

Absolutely love Dr. Stanczyk and his staff. They were with me all throughout my pregnancy with my daughter, and we're very helpful in answering any questions I had, and very genuine. He is the best out there. I wouldn't have anyone else working on me. That's for sure.

Even though my husband's insurance at worked changed requiring me to change doctors, I have chosen to pay more money out of our pocket to stay under Dr. Stanczyks care. He and his staff are kind and care about my well being. I found him through ads and articles in our area's exclusive 417 magazine.
