I went to Dr. Akerman for my shoulder. I needed rotator cuff surgery. He made me feel so relaxed and not nervous about having surgery. Very understanding, very professional. I would refer him to anyone who needs to see an orthopedic doctor. Thank you Dr. Akerman.. :)

Dr. Ackerman is a skilled orthopedist who I would highly recommend to anyone. He has taken care of my knee and back ailments when other doctors have suggested more invasive treatments. The decrease in pain and increase in level of mobility have far exceeded any of my expectations. I am forever grateful for Dr. Ackerman’s empathy and care.

Dr Ackerman was quite pleasant and seemed competent. However, things like getting a copy of a couple of xrays is a huge hassle. the medical records department does not answer. They insist of FAX as a form of communication for submitting requests, and after I already paid for my xrays, and went through the pain of signing up to their portal to order copies, they wanted to charge me $89.

Dr. Ackerman did an outstanding jon on my ACL surgery! I am back playing tennis and picked up right where I left off!

I met Dr Ackerman once before as Dr Ackerman operated on my wife's knee which was a perfect success and painless after surgery. He is a pleasure and breath of fresh air to speak with and is quite thorough. I was told 2-1/2 years ago I needed meniscus surgery by another dr and I held off as pain subsided. Dr A agreed that surgery wasn't necessary at this point. He is doing a series of 3 injections at most for the time being, surgery being a last resort. My wife and I can not speak highly enough of him. Strongly recommend Dr A ... Thank you Dr Ackerman ....

Dr. Ackerman is a true professional. He is not quick to jump to surgery and spends time talking to the patient and explaining all options. He is patient and very kind, but most important honest. Where another orthopedic surgeon said I might need a shoulder replacement, Dr. Ackerman said I didn't need surgery for a fractured shoulder and with therapy I was able to get almost full mobility. I dreaded having surgery and I was happy he gave me the good news. I would highly recommend Dr. Ackerman, a true professional.
