Dr. George Jimenez Ang, MD

Dr. Ang is the most capable, compassionate Dr. I have ever seen. He is a great listener. Very wise and really tries his best . He has restored my faith in Doctors once more. Always replies to messages with sincerity and you can tell he really cares.

Dr. Ang is knowledgeable and unusually personable compared to other doctors. He explains his decisions well and listens to questions and concerns. When test results had not been forwarded to his office because they came from a different system, he worked with me to get through menus on my phone in order to access the record on the patient portal. He needed the information to make a treatment decision and he could have just said we'll have to reschedule - instead, he was flexible, collaborative, and made the visit worthwhile. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Ang is always very personable and provides clear information and recommendations. I've never waited more than 10 minutes for my apppointments.

I appreciate how quickly I was seen and that Dr. Ang spent time reviewing my test results and discussing next steps. He genuinely seemed interested in my progress.

I was glad to see Dr. Ang who told me I had osteoporosis and scheduled a bone density test for me in addition to prescribing Prolia for me. He also gave me the FreeStyle Libre 2 kit to monitor blood glucose. So good to see him again.

I went to see Dr. Ang because of hypothyroidism. I was shocked at his lack of knowledge about my thyroid issue. He made many comments about thyroid that he said were supported on the American Thyroid Association website. It was contradictory to what I had previously read. After my appointment I went home and read thoroughly on that website looking for the statements he made to me and I found just the opposite. He did not listen to what I was experiencing nor did he ask me what other symptoms, other than fatigue, that were concerning. He actually told me tiredness is not a symptom which is not true according to the ATA website. He did not make any recommendations about trying to figure out why my thyroid function has deteriorated. I will never return to him nor could I recommend him as a knowledgeable doctor for thyroid issues.

I saw Dr. Ang when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. My family was concerned with the level of care I would receive in a small town like Gallup. But now that I've relocated to a bigger city I really appreciate the time and attention I received from doctors like Dr. Ang in Gallup. He always did a thorough exam and took the time to explain the diet changes I would need to make. More importantly he treats you like a human being, unlike some of the patient mills I've been to since. Can't recommend him more highly to anyone seeking quality medical care.
